The Department of Homeland Security has dramatically raised worksite enforcement to deter employers from hiring cheap illegal workers.
Since October, the agency’s Homeland Security Investigations unit has checked employment records at 6,093 worksites, up from 1,716 in the prior fiscal year from October 2016 to the end of September 2017. The current pace of checks in 2018 is almost a five-fold increase from the prior year and included 100 stores in the 7-Eleven chain and 77 companies in California.
The agency has made 675 criminal arrests of managers or supervisors, plus 984 administrative arrests of illegals in the last nine months, versus 139 criminal arrests and 172 administrative arrests during the prior 12 months, according to a DHS statement. That is a five-fold increase in criminal arrests and a sixfold increase in administrative arrests.
In 2018, the DHS agency has also conducted several large-scale raids, including a meatpacker in Tennessee, and a meatpacker and landscaping firm in Ohio.
Amid President Donald Trump’s high-pressure economy, the enforcement actions push employers to fire illegals on their staff and to raise wages for Americans.

There are plenty of people willing to fill out the paperwork and immigrate legally for our needs. While at it prioritize spouses of Americans who marry overseas.
A few of these fine folks need to be doing the perp walk.

Good! Make this a permanent policy. Those businesses that hire illegals should expect to pay far more, once fines are included, than employers who hire real Americans. [And, yes, I have close relatives in agriculture - they pay what it takes to hire Americans because we are normal Americans. We follow the laws.]

This is key. Jail for employer’s of illegals now!
I believe Obama did tremendous damage to this country. With the help of a few friends.

But Trump knows that that as well, and is ALSO intentionally erasing whatever pathetic remains of the The Error’s legacy he can do.
And day by day, it gets a little better.
Think of November 2016 as the “Take Out The Trash” Election.
Because that’s what we did. Took out the trash and flushed the toilet.
Tactic #1 was the correct one to get started with, rapidly deporting illegals that were already under deportation orders.
Deportation of those that can quickly be deported continues, the checking of employees has been going on at the same time. These things need to be done as DHS and ICE is geared up to do them, and that is what is being done.
Our immigration laws are now being enforced, it is not easy to do that when the whole system has been set up to not enforce the laws.
And OPT, and H4, and L1. All of them.
