GOP Senate Intel Chair: There Were “Sound Reasons” Why Judges Issued FISA Warrants on Carter Page

Chairman of the Senate Intel Committee Richard Burr (R-NC) said on Tuesday there were “sound reasons” why the judges issued FISA warrants on Carter Page.

The newly released Carter Page FISA docs, although heavily redacted, reveal the FBI and DOJ relied on Hillary’s phony dossier and liberal media reports as ‘evidence’ presented to the court in order to wiretap Page.

The FBI omitted the fact that the dossier was paid for by Hillary and the DNC.

I’ve know for a long time that Burr is an idiot but I had no idea the extent of his idiocy until this story.

“If the American people ever learned anything from its release [Carter Page FISA docs], it’s that there was great justification to the courts as to why the FISA application was approved.”

Mr. Burr: Name that great justification. What is the probable cause? Who are the reliable witnesses? Who all did the FBI surveille based on the Carter Page warrant? Want did they find?

Burr is dodging the question, which is whether the material in the FISA appl was put together mendaciously to create the appearance of “justification” via circular corroboration. So it was bureaucratically sufficient to get a lazy judge’s rubber stamp. The document does not establish verifiable probable cause or include anything from a reliable witness. It’s the FISA version of fake news.

Please correct me if I’m wrong but the evidence was sound reason. The judges had no way to know the evidence was a lie. Is this what he is saying?

Like I said before, The LEADERSHIP OF BOTH PARTIES, including 7 of the Gang of Eight are INVOLVED up to teir eyeballs in this Attempted Seditious Conspiracy to Overthrow the United States Government.

His Statement is a CONFESSION of his and his buddies involvement

IT WILL NOT BE UN-REDACTED

Maybe he’s answering a different question from the one you think he’s answering?

In part, at least, he seems to be differentiating between the judges and the hacks who submitted requests with bogus contents.

The Senate Intel Committee leadership—of both parties—is an absolute Deep State #NeverTrump joke, and its composition and agenda incontrovertibly demonstrates just how entrenched and pervasive the Uniparty Establishment Swamp is...

The Swamp is indeed vast and deep. I’m disappointed that Trump has not done more to drain it. It is a clear and present danger to him and his MAGA agenda.

I realize he can’t do anything about the entrenched, sleazy politicians but there are some obvious people in his own administration he needs to remove. He really should get on with this before they work to further undermine him.
