A federal judge in Boston is allowing a lawsuit against the Trump administrations ending of temporary protections for immigrants to proceed on the grounds the decisions were motivated by racial prejudice.
U.S. District Judge Denise Casper rejected Monday the governments bid to dismiss the lawsuit, which a group of immigrants and civil rights organizations filed in February in response to the cancellation of Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for Haiti and El Salvador.
Statements by administration officials including President Donald Trump make it plausible that a discriminatory purpose was a motivating factor in a decision to wind down TPS protections, Casper said.
Plaintiffs have successfully made out their prima facie case, she wrote in a ruling that allows the lawsuit to go forward, according to Reuters.

Temporary = Forever ? LOL
Whoopi’s Sister
What race is an El Salvadoran? Is there a Haitian race?
I remember some leftie saying we were in Afghanistan because we were racist. I told him most Afghanis were Caucasian and that must mean we were racist against white people. Then I got to watch his head explode.
So now the enforcement of the law is subject to the clairvoyant abilities of unelected judges to discern the commission of thought crimes.
Reminds me of the ones trying to outlaw bullet-proof windows at convenience stores because it was supposedly racist.
Libtards do what they can to twist everything into false charge of racism, they have lots of underhanded weapons, but that is their favorite.
Trump should refuse to abide by all rulings until they reach the supreme court. Its a not a check or balance to make an ordinary federal judge have more power than a president.
This is why I dont care what trump does to piss off liberals and RINOs at all. To me getting as many judges on the bench is issue number1!!!!!
Must be this idiot of a judge can’t read USSC decisions.
Hmm what did they just rule a month ago about immigration?
Note to fed. Judge....Get ready to get overturned!
Race was definitely involved there, envy too, for Asians.
People from Haiti and El Salvador are Hispanics and Hispanic is NOT a race. So Judge how is it racist?
The founders were right to exclude the children of foreign nationals from being President.
Too bad both parties decided for US that we no longer needed the natural protections of the natural born citizen requirement.
U.S. District Judge Denise Casper is a Barack Obama appointee. Nothing else need be said.
“People from Haiti and El Salvador are Hispanics”
People from Haiti speak French.
Thanks for the test case, incompetent unfit for the bench judge. Thanks detective.
The practice of establishing a Temporary Protected Status for some and not others is itself a violation of the equal protection and due process clauses. Stupid.
Yeah, but you didn't use the new cover sheet. Did you read the memo?
I believe Justice Thomas made reference to this in a recent immigration ruling.
Yeah but the guy sent me a new one in case I didn’t read it.
“Too bad both parties decided for US that we no longer needed the natural protections of the natural born citizen requirement.”
And too bad we elect Race-Baiting Black Female’s to our Federal Bench. Obola did inestimable damage to our Judiciary. They are there to do everything in their power to undermine our Republic. Somehow, I don’t give a fig about Haiti, El Salvador, Nicaragua, or any other Caribbean or South American $hit hole that masquerades as a country. The idea that we’ve had Salvadorian “earthquake victims” here for twenty years is an outrage. The should never have been allowed to come here in the first place. Ditto for that $hit hole of all $hit holes, Haiti. Someone needs to tell me how Haiti and the Dominican Republic can occupy either end of the same island and have such drastically different living conditions.
The Spanish, the French, the Germans and even the Americians have all played a role in Haiti.
