Shocker: Nation not as irate as Washington about Helsinki
Powerline ^ | July 23, 2018 | Paul Mirengoff

In a report that should come as news to no one the Washington Post informs us:

[P]ublic reaction nationally [to the Helsinki summit] appears more muted than in Washington, where Trump faced withering bipartisan criticism for appearing to side with Putin over U.S. intelligence agencies at a July 16 news conference in Helsinki.

Imagine that.

[snip]In Trump’s case, the Washington Post/ABC News poll finds that 33 percent of Americans approve of Trump’s handling of his meeting of Putin, while 50 percent disapprove. 17 percent have no opinion. That’s not an unreasonable position if one focuses on the meeting itself, rather than the “afters.” No one knows what happened in the meeting, which is normal when two world leaders meet one-on-one.

The country knows that Russia is less of a threat than the Deep State.

Russia hasn’t been a threat since 1990. Even on an economic scale....other than Vodka, they can’t outperform us. The US needs to stop the pretender game and resolve all differences with Russia.

It’s summer. People are doing summer stuff. Plus we already know the Russians are up to shenanigans. They have been for a century. Time to grill in the back yard.

Correct. Trump’s working a deal. Many deals. In his artful way, which many deplorables get.

Putin wants economic success and jobs there. That would mute a lot of other bs that substitutes for it. I think Trump offers a rising tide for all boats (with ours rising no matter what, natch). IMHO.

Professional Trump-haters, hate Trump.
The rest of the country just doesn’t see what the fuss is all about.

Shocker: Nation not as irate as Washington about Helsinki

We Freepers know the Washington Compost is what it is a bunch "Compost"!!!

President Trump needs to tweet since he is after all one of the highest energy level president ever in my book and the only reason he tweets is because the Washington Compost never ever gets it right at all!!!

I really think the profits from Amazon is the only thing that keeps this paper rag going since they never make a positive contribution in profits.

BTW, we are all in favor of President Trump getting his message through by way of tweeting since the Washington Compost has its head buried in its posterior.
