As many as 9 people have been taken to hospital, including a child, following a mass shooting in Greektown.

Toronto police were called to an area outside a restaurant on Danforth Avenue near Logan Avenue around 10 p.m. following reports of multiple gunshots.

My wife was born on Danforth about ten blocks to the east and spent some of her childhood in the area.

That Toronto Sun article mentioned that police are concerned that he may have left explosives somewhere else before he went to Greektown.

Been to a couple of concerts at the Danforth Music Hall, which is in that area. Sort of a cool neighborhood, but definitely a variety of ethnicities that renders the Greektown name meaningless. Never felt unsafe there, but it wouldn't surprise me if this is gang-related.
