The federal government has finally recognized the obvious that sharing instructions on how to make guns with 3D printers counts as constitutionally protected speech. Despite little fanfare, this is an important victory for First Amendment rights. It also represents a real blow to the increasingly futile cause of gun control.

I, for one, appreciate the potential of Titanium additive 3-D printing.

Maybe when 3D printing is so mainstream and affordable that everyone has one in their shop, garage, or craft room.
I do like this ruling though. It guarantees anyone can legally make a ghost gun.

that episode on VICE was the only one episode worth watching about Cody’s crusade to make 3D printing for guns as cheap as possible. I know VICE leans to the left, but it was pretty fair on that coverage..

I like this ruling as well.
However, criminals who 3-D print firearms for criminal acts should, after a trial and conviction, receive the death penalty.
I believe that ANY crime that involves a firearm should get the death penalty after a trial and conviction.
That's a zero tolerance policy that'd work.

“...the end of gun control...”
The “end” is when every single one of us - Americans - absolutely REFUSE to comply with any and all of the schemes they try to compel us into, regarding our Right.
Our complete and absolute refusal, coupled with a giant middle “Molon Labe” middle finger.
We have these for a REASON. And that reason is “That Day” when they try to take them.

From a practical standpoint, does this science mean rust and corrosion free firearms that won’t wear out?

"That day"
Ah, a favorite movie line of mine from "Three Days of the Condor":
Von Sydow hands Redford his 1911 back: "For that day".........

Do you realize its a crime to conceal carry, and some places refuse to issue?
What you just said is that you want anyone committing a crime with a gun to die.
You need to rethink that, or more clearly define what you mean.

Build the gun you want. But. Can you make the ammo? Eyes on the prize please.

I know. But hopefully, with all of the judges that President Trump has appointed so far, that will be a thing of the past.
What you just said is that you want anyone committing a crime with a gun to die.
If (For example) a printing, "Crime," is brought to trial, it would clearly be thrown out because of the judges appointed (As mentioned above).
You need to rethink that, or more clearly define what you mean.
You're right. I should have.
But, I like being optimistic.

You can make crude form of black powder from nothing more than charcoal and pig manure. Making ammo shouldn’t be too hard for those of normal IQ.
