Not even James Bond had an Aston Martin like this.
The British sports car maker revealed a concept version of a flying car, the Volante Vision Concept, at the Farnborough Airshow this week.
Aston Martin has billed the futuristic vehicle as a luxury car for the skies. The autonomous hybrid-electric vehicle, which has room for three passengers, is designed for urban and inter-city travel, the company said. Its also capable of vertical take-offs and landings. The vehicle could fly at top speeds of around 200 miles per hour, according to Reuters.

Lots of concepts these days but so far no productions.
My sudden worries about the magnitude of the inevitable carnage and destruction from turning our country into a Flying Car Beta Test Site makes my worries about self-driving cars look like overwrought pearl-clutching.
+1.
This article says 3 are under development, with 1 coming up for sale next year.
It’ll be interesting to keep track of all the crashes.
Let it get tangled in power lines and see what happens.
Who should we root for this car or Amazon’s drones?
We just bought a 2015 CR-V with 29,800 mile on it for $15,500. It's not tricked out, but it's way more than we had in out 2003 Honda Odyssey that we bought used and drove for twelve-years.
I have a standing rule that I'll never buy a new car unless I can pay 50% the day I buy it. I've just not reached that position, yet.
Flying car? More like flying cuisinart...
Only ‘Green’politicians should be allowed to own/operate them.
Probably will stay consistent in that respect.
Yes the radio control market was the seed for aviation much like the bicycle market was in 1900.
This form of aviation will be pilotless, using GPS waypoints. We have been doing this with RC drones for years. The government must determine where the Sky Lanes are and how to integrate among existing FAA airspace.
Id like to see test routes like Santa Monica city to LAX for these. Thats a 10 mile trip that often takes an hour to drive. This technology makes more sense than Musks tunnels.
Buying brand new only makes sense if you can depreciate it on your taxes, i.e. for a business. For individual use keep your eye on new models, identify ones you think you might like and track the reliability and resale of them. Buy one off lease with the certified warranty, better in many instances than factory warranty from new. Can save you quite a bit and still have a basically new car, still current styling and features. That’s the best most economical way to keep a relatively new “new to you” car with a good warranty on it.
A big trunk for tons of Explosives ?
It is NOT the 200 mph that is a problem. It is the sudden stop.
Can you imagine a Air traffic controller handling 50 million of these things?
LOL
I hope they are not using Lucas Electronics...
Were the electronics’ systems manufactured by Lucas?
You beat me by four minutes.
