If performing an action (Standing for the Flag) is a condition of employment, and I violate that condition, then the penalty(s) for violating that condition are to be expected. This can include fines, lost of pay, or termination of employment.
Being a sports figure is just another job. If you don't conform to the conditions of employment, go elsewhere...
Oh, and if all you know to do is play football, I hope you stuffed your mattress with the $$$ you've been paid to date. Otherwise be ready for a move to a more realistic payscale...
