President Trump ripped Joe Biden in newly aired interview comments, saying running against the ex-vice president in 2020 would be a “dream” and claiming former President Barack Obama “took him out of the garbage heap” in 2008.
“Well, I dream, I dream about Biden. That's a dream,” Trump said in an interview with CBS News, when asked about a Biden bid. “Look, Joe Biden ran three times. He never got more than one percent and President Obama took him out of the garbage heap, and everybody was shocked that he did. I'd love to have it be Biden.”

Obama was nominated right after Putin invaded Georgia. My theory at the time was he picked Biden because he needed someone who would be seen as having some foreign policy expertise (the media could be counted on not pointing out how he was virtually always wrong in the positions he took).
I could imagine some of the campaign ads, with Creepy Uncle Joe nuzzling some young girls, and feeling their breasts. That would be great fun!

Gerald Ford always said he wanted to run against Hubert Humphrey because they were such close friends, and the campaign would be fun and clean. He ended up with GA Jimmuh instead. Donald Rumsfeld has written a positive book on the Ford administration in which he served; it’s called ‘’When the Center Held’’.

So do I. One clue President Trump had a chance is that Wilkes-Barre and Scranton were wall-to-wall Trump signs. That area would've probably voted for Biden, giving him PA. Then, there's OH and Michigan....two states with a strong worker-bee vote. They're places that it's as much that hillary lost as it is Trump won. Biden would not have lost as much of the traditional Dem vote. Perhaps President Trump should be careful what he wishes for. And....stay on track. Why do we still have troops in Afghanistan and Syria?
