The Al Quds newspaper reported that the Hamas terrorist organization will gradually reduce the number of rockets and incendiary devices launched from the Gaza Strip onto nearby Israeli communities.
The firing of incendiary balloons and kites is expected to stop by next week...

Oh! So the Hamas government does have control over this. If Hamas is considered a government, and they want to be recognized as a “State”, does not their firing of explosives into Israel constitute and ACT OF WAR?

I suspect that Islamic terrorism is what we’d call “crowd-sourced.” Hamas isn’t a government that is controlling its various functions like, say, the President can order the Army to attack another country. It is more a crowd facilitator, both funding the terrorist acts of others and providing training and material support. Therefore, if they want to reduce attacks, they have to wait for the materials they have handed out to people they don’t directly control to be expended. Then, they don’t hand out more materials. Something must be driving this sudden change in policy. I suspect it’s something the Israelis have threatened to do if it doesn’t stop. Recent actions by the Netanyahu government have indicated that they are much more prone to use of force than in the past. Probably, Iran and other players have cautioned Hamas that if they don’t let things cool down, they will stop supporting Hamas. At the bottom of everything is money; who has it and who gets it.
That’s a logical theory.
I wonder if they simply put a hold on paying for the funerals of martyrs and paying the families. That might get the deathwish perps attention.

Bibi must have passed the word that if they keep up with the fire bombs that burn Israeli crops and farmland, and potentially kill or injure Israeli citizens, he is more than ready to show them what a REALLY big fire looks like.

Incendiary kites and balloons can be stopped with the giant fans normally used to steal Iranian clouds and snow.
