The jerks were caught off guard with Trump’s election because they were sure Hillary the witch would win. Ed Randall didn’t stuff enough boxes... That’s got to be it - she was so sure of the Rust Belt - she acted like she didn’t need to demean herself by wading into flyover...
But now? The corrupt deep state is ready and they’ll do whatever it takes.

And the GOP is just as happy to destroy our nations sovereignty with open borders, lopsided trade policies for their banker buddies, massive unbelievable debt, alliances with Al Qeida, the EU, kowtowing to China and bitterly opposing anything good for middle class Americans.
And with the GOP in charge of the Senate, the House, the Supreme court, and the White House. I blame the GOP 100%.
And much of the GOP really don’t want to be the power in majority. They just talked that excuse to death. Their actions prove it. They would rather give up the majority just to hobble Trump.
Why would the Dems care about shutting down a toothless House probe that will never actually do anything about whatever they might uncover?
I agree, but there’s not enough people - that is, what the press considers “people,” which is not us - supporting him and I think he was intimidated.
I don’t think Trump capitulated to them today, but he should have told them to wait and tomorrow, after he had had time to think about it, he could have called a press conference where he might have been firmer. But they’ve already distorted what he said because it sounded weak.

This is why I often return to the video of Trump coming down the steps to give his acceptance speech election night. I have never had tears stream down my face as it did that night over any election. But I knew all that this man had just stopped!....and that he was to be the man of the hour to bring back our real country.....It still gets me all choked up

Nor does Pres Trump.
He can “order” anything he wants, but it will not be complied with. (ie, the release of documents to Congress)
As we have seen today, he cannot even conduct foreign policy as he sees fit.
He has ZERO support in government.
They will not let him be President, they do not give a rats ass about us, as a matter of fact, they want us dead or in jail.
So what are WE going to do about it?
When that didn't happen, in December of 2016. Obama ordered a report on the Russian Interference. It was to be delivered BEFORE he left office. And I believe it was only a couple days before he left.
Why didn't Obama order it the day after the election? Needed a little further planning maybe? Sorta like an insurance policy.

But today was a good test of support in Congress...and the GOP failed again.
He knows he has no backup, or power. This is why he endeavored to explain himself again. Doing what what asked of him.
Only it matters not, and he knows it.
He still is in the same boat as yesterday, unable to conduct foreign policy as he sees fit, and as every other President has been able to do.
This is unprecedented, and very, very, very, dangerous.
Nothing new and it is NOT going to work; especially if we get off our collective butts and help get out the vote.

I totally agree. There are terrified that Trump is outing them while they are hiding behind the curtain.
Their media has successfully buried any news of the coup so far.
As evidenced by the fake outrage over Putin/Trump. They can still argue that Trump is in on the “meddling”.
