Former CIA Director John Brennan on Monday slammed President Trump for meeting alone with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Brennan, a frequent Trump critic, questioned what the president was “hiding” from his own advisers by insisting on meeting one-on-one with Putin at their summit in Helsinki, Finland.
“Why did Trump meet 1 on 1 with Putin? What might he be hiding from Bolton, Pompeo, Kelly, & the American public?” Brennan tweeted. “How will Putin use whatever Trump could be hiding to advantage Russia & hurt America? Trump’s total lack of credibility renders spurious whatever explanation he gives.”
Trump and Putin met one-on-one in Helsinki before moving into an expanded bilateral meeting with advisers. In their first meeting, only translators were present. Trump reportedly did not want to have a note-taker in the room because of a concern that details would leak.
Trump and Putin sat down with photographers and reporters before heading into the meeting. Trump said he thinks the U.S. and Russia would “end up having an extraordinary relationship.” He said before the start of the expanded meeting that the summit was off to a “very, very good start.”
Hours before the start of the meeting, Trump sent a tweet blaming “years of U.S. foolishness and stupidity," as well as the federal investigation into Russian election meddling, for poor U.S.-Russia relations.
Trump said that he would raise the issue of Russian meddling with Putin, but suggested that he did not think anything would come of it.
Can’t wait for Imam Brennan to end up in a jail cell.
This sounds like fear and desperation to me. Will Putin let trump know about the intel he has on the DNC crime network and the Paki’s infiltrating the DNC? They’re scared out of their wits and therefore most dangerous!

Thanks to people like John Brennan and his army of deep state leakers, the President doesn’t trust the people around him to not make stuff up and leak it to the press. So they are shut out.

I’ll bet Trump doesn’t tell Putin that he will have more flexibility after the election like Obama did.
Maybe he just wants to tell Putin that he’ll have more “flexibility” after he is re-elected.

Brennan admitted that he voted for the Communist Party candidate for President when he was a young radical.

I think it’s Sultan Brennan who has something to hide. You’re afraid that Putin is going to show the president how many American politicians and bureaucrats, including Brennan, are on the Kremlin playlist.

No one cares what Brennan thinks or says - he was CIA chief when the Russians were interfering with our elections, and did nothing apparently - ‘ nuff said about is relevance......

The more Brennan spouts off, the more one must question the effectiveness of the CIA — both under his leadership and with regard to the present gang.
