Rosenstein of course a massive Clinton fixer, with his wife having repeatedly represented the whole crew on the Dems side many times.

So who was the clown who recommended him for Trump to nominate? I am thinking it must be Johnny DeStefano, the RNC/GOPe insider with zero previous personnel experience that Priebus got into the admin, who has successfully kept almost all MAGA candidates from admin appointments, and who is still there! (Roger Stone was sounding the alarm on him 18 months ago.)

Not so sure about that. The House did vote a resolution demanding Rosenstein comply with Congress’s demand.

Jordan also said publicly that Congress had caught Rosenstein hiding information and also threatening congressional staffers and Members.

An impeachment vote in the House only requires a simple majority. It seems in light of the House majority passing the resolution against Rosenstein, they will have the votes for his impeachment.

Exactly what I was thinking as well. A failure could push Rosenstein farther to the obstructionists side of things and end up making him feel he could do no wrong and was unaccountable and therefore invincible. He would then realize he didn't have to cooperate anymore even in the least with Congress in their oversight duties.

But my point was that they have stopped trying.

In 1937, when FDR had essentially no political opposition in the Senate, Senators from his own party slapped him in the face over the court packing plan, BECAUSE IT INFRINGED THE LAWFUL AUTHORITY OF THE SENATE.

There are many other examples.

But Congress no longer has an interest in legislating. The problem with Congress doing its job is that it's bound to piss someone off. And that pissed off someone might organize an opposition to their permanent tenure in office.

And THEN, the booze, the broads, and the bribes might go away.
