WeWork is going meat-free and taking every one of its employees with it.
The startup cited environmental concerns in announcing its immediate company-wide ban on meat. In an email sent Thursday, WeWork cofounder Miguel McKelvey told his 6,000 or so employees the company will no longer serve meat at employee events or reimburse them for meals that include red meat, poultry and pork.
It's a bold move for the real estate behemoth believed to be worth $20 billion -- and the most assertive in a series of recent steps large companies have taken to promote sustainability.

The should also ban all use of plastic and electricity.
I hear breathing out CO2 is bad for the environment, so they should stop that, too.
Otherwise just virtue signalling, not really down with the struggle.
Meatball marinaras bad, marijuana muffins good.
A company bans meat, gets fawning attention for virtue-signaling from the brain-dead media. Imagine the media outrage if a company banned veggies.
Can you bring it into the office yourself or is that forbidden?
Oh thank you for posting that refreshing pic. These radical left wing, earth loving, enviro-wackos, anti-meat radicals are stressing me out and I needed to be reminded of these beautiful & delicious things.
Every client should demand they bake the damn cake.
Rumaki? I LOVE rumaki!
Never heard of WeWork.
“WeFail? WeNuts? WeDumb? WeLose? WeBankruptcy?”
WeSuck.
“I hope every client of the company helpfully orders a steak when being wined and dined by salesmen.”
Interesting point. Sales people could lose a customer merely by bringing up the subject, considering how the looney left has divided the country.
What I do not see here is how this policy is helping the planet. I betcha the clown that came up with the idea has no sane reasoning for it other than being politically correct like a good little commie.
“Dozens of people appear to have contracted an intestinal parasite after eating McDonalds salads in the Midwest in recent weeks, prompting the chain to pull salads from 3,000 locations.”
Hey Miguel, may I suggest McDonald’s salad for your next dining experience?
When I do an expense report, the real company I work for doesn’t inspect the receipt, they just pay the bill. Most meals fall below the receipt required threshold anyway.
Good catch on the difference between the word AND and the word OR.
At dinner last night my friend said this: “A Socialist is a Totalitarian screaming to get out.”
WeWork’s policy looks to be in violation of many anti-discrimination laws.
That’ll be a lawsuit; paying for some employee meals and not others. The IRS will also have a say in that when employees deduct meals on their personal tax return.
That and Swordfish and Tuna Steaks. maybe those Japanese puffer fish that only 3 chefs in the country can cook without killing ya.
What will happen is that the salesman will be out-of-pocket for whatever meat the client orders. I'm not sure I'd be very happy about that if I were a salesman, especially if I were bringing in business for the company's benefit.
Eat meat, get fired, sue, get rich
I see discrimination here! What about the poor fish and insects. They have rights too! WHAT? PLANT lives don’t matter. They should only eat naturally sterilized minerals. Get real folks.
