And this is how its done, folks.
Its now being reported that the Trump administration isnt fooling around when it comes to nations not wanting to take in their own citizens who decide disrespect our nation by coming here illegally.
The Department of Homeland Security has now announced that the administration has hit some government officials from Burma and Laos with visa sanctions as punishment for both countries refusal to take back their own citizens that the U.S. was caught in our nation illegally and is in the process of trying to deport.
The U.S. embassy in Rangoon, Burma, has put out a press release that it will immediately halt the issuance of tourist and business non-immigrant visas to senior officials in the ministries of Labor, Immigration, Population and Home Affairs. And in Laos, the U.S. mission will no longer grant tourist and business non-immigrant visas to senior officials from the Laotian Ministry of Public Security. These restrictions also apply to the officials immediate family members.
Here is more via The Daily Caller:

If this doesn’t work well and doesn’t ring with other countries, I’m sure the POTUS will take other steps.
This is step one. If this doesnt work they can go further and ban all travel to and from these countries. Frankly I think this first step will be enough. It shows that Trump is serious.
Sheesh.
Can't we do this with countries with a bit higher profile, like Bangladesh or Panama?
Very precise targeting.
Opening salvo to get attention. Pressure will be increased until compliance is enacted.
1) govt officials
2) tourist visas for everyone
3) business visas for everyone
4) All visas of any kind
5) Stopping of non-critical aid (medical and such would be critical)
6) Stopping of direct flights between US and said country
7) Stopping all aid
8) Expulsion of diplomats and closure of consulates outside embassy
9) Closure of embassy
etc
They’ll get the message pretty quick.
The Fraud would have doubled their visas for “audaciously” defying his most hated country.
Don’t you think that they are watching all of this?
Airdrop them in coffins over their capital buildings.
The returning citizens should be alive in the coffins as they are pushed out.
Give the country a few hours warning to set up safety nets, proving we are nice guys and we returned their citizens unharmed.
Any harm they received was the receiving countrys fault.

Why haven’t we done the same with India, which also refuses to take back deportees. We should shut them down completely. No more visa workers from India and the ones expiring go home. And when they then accept deportees, still no new visa workers! Don’t need them, don’t want them.
I love this guy...
Amen. We have been flooded with Indians in the North Atlanta suburb I live in over the last several years. And can someone explain to me how non-citizens are able to buy up our real estate? Never understood that.
Hopefully.
MAGA - but there are many other countries we need to apply this to.
Once you get past the government officials, there are not many people in Burma or Laos who have the money to travel to the US and among them, many would not get visas anyway. So Trump is hitting them where it hurts.
The rice farmers aren’t going to get any kind of visa under any circumstances.
Shot across the bow. Other countries will take notice, and this might result in some compliance and cooperation that we would not otherwise have gotten.
Some countries just have a policy of not taking back their citizens that are caught here illegally. To my knowledge no other President has ever done anything about it. That is what is different.
Some posters here say “not enough!” without knowing what a big deal this is. Who else has ran for President in the last 30 years or more would have done this?

I couldn’t agree more. Since its inception, the United States has been the world’s safety valve allowing dissident steam to escape from confinement. People from South America and Mexico come here rather than create change in their own countries. (Change would mean revolution, which is why it’s illegal to own a gun in any Latin American country.) But allowing the import of, let’s face it, peasants who aren’t, for the most part even educated to their own country’s standards, to come here, has not helped America, except in farm labor. People come here and take American jobs at a fraction of what it takes to hire a legal American. So, the country is damaged by the fact most immigrants don’t pay taxes. The taxpayers are damaged by the fact that many, if not most, immigrants are on the dole. I’d like to see an end to the anchor baby concept and to free medical care for illegals. If I go to the emergency room, I will owe a fee just for checking in. I was told that if I’m an illegal, they can’t even ask my name. How fair is that?
It must be hard to be a foreign government and to face a powerful hegemony that changes its strategy and outlook 180 degrees with every new president. I think all the governments and the illegals will just hunker down and wait for the next Obama to take over. I’m sure a president Warren or Tamiqua would be much nicer to them.
“Not good enough. Eliminate ALL visas, ALL immigration applications, ALL funding to ALL countries violating our laws. Enforce this action for 10 years.”
The saddest thing about this post of yours is that I can’t give you a piece of the blackberry pie I’m enjoying right now!
“Great, now Im going to get an ear full from my Laotian neighbor.”
Maybe you can get a bahn mi sammich out of it?
