"...and nominate Judge Brett Kavanaugh. He is the man Justice Kennedy had asked the president to nominate and is another former Kennedy clerk."

In other words, Kennedy wanted Kavanaugh. I really don't know why Fox keeps this midget thinker on their panels. He brings no insight, and most of the time he's wrong.

I would have preferred a D.C. outsider who had nothing to do with the Vince Foster investigation.

Kav is a moderate. The minor illegal girl getting an abortion, for example.

We needed a true conservative.

But RBG will be dead soon (she’s 85) and Thomas is going to retire.

That’ll be four picks for Trump his first term!

Since I heard Napolitano say this I am now 100% behind this candidate. I think this judge has problems.

Andrew Napolitano supported the prosecution of the Colorado Baker, Jack Phillips for refusing to service a gay wedding ( I heard him on the radio ).

I would not listen to him when it comes to constitutional issues. He is NOT always on the side of religious liberty.

I've never understood all the Judge Nap worship in conservative circles....

Judge Nap is, at best, a libertarian on some issues and a establishment RINO on most others. He's also a homosexual who lived with his domestic partner until 2013 when his partner died, then left a sappy tribute to "the love of his life" in his latest book. So an icon of Conservative values he certainly is not....

I understand his concern. I hope he is wrong. I remember when Kennedy was chosen - the Republicans were politically motivated to confirm a judge after Bork was “Borked”, and we got Kennedy. Same with Souter and others. Perhaps Kavanaugh will turn out as we hoped, but until he is confirmed, we will not truly know. In that regards, Eddie Munster is right.

The big swing on the court will happen when one of the geezer lefties gets replaced. Kavanaugh is ok as we await that monumental event.

Napolitano hasn’t been right in the head since he was suspended and was taken to the wood shed by the boys at FOX. He must have taken a lot of hits to the head with their rubber chickens.

Kavanaugh was not my first choice, but after listening to the far left getting more and more hysterical I feel a lot better about him.

The bottom line is that there are only 51 Republicans in the Senate. McCain is home dying so that leaves 50. At least 2 or 3 of the remaining 50 are squishy RINOs. Kavanaugh was probably the only conservative pick that Trump could make that all 50 would vote for.

Hopefully, the Republicans will pick up some more Senate seats in November (there are 10 Democrats running for re-election this year in states that went heavily for Trump). Trump can then pick the most conservative qualified candidates for the next openings without caring about getting any votes from the moderates and liberals.

Assuming that the Republicans hold the Senate, then Thomas will retire next summer. He does not want to risk a Democrat becoming President in 2020 and having to stick around another 4 or 8 years or more.

Ginsburg (who did not retire when she turned 80 back in 2014 because she was sure that Hillary would win and that the Democrats would retake the Senate in 2016) is stuck until at least 2020 and hopefully 2024 and beyond. She is far more likely to die while Trump is still in office than she is to make it until a Democrat President and Senate can replace her.

The bottom line is:

Will Kavanaugh be better overall than Kennedy?

If so, he’s a good pick. We can’t afford to let the perfect be the enemy of the good (or however that phrase goes). If he’s an improvement over his predecessor it’s a win for America.

Nat is upset because Justice-To_be Kavanaugh does not support homosexual special rights and Nat is a homosexual. Nat ALWAYS sides with special rights for homosexuals. Always.

Kavanaugh grew up in Bethesda, Maryland and went to Georgetown Prep. I knew his graduating classmates at Prep — mostly a bunch of leftist and RINO Catholics. Kavanaugh hasn’t the pedigree to be a true originalist. Not a chance.

I suspect Kavanaugh will not be approved since it is Prez. Trump’s first pick. I think Trump might be thinking that way and is saving someone in the background once his first pick is denied. Not thinking Kavanaugh is not a good pick, he is, but I think he is doomed by he anti Trump bunch.

.

Nap strident defense of DOJ and the Muller clown show indicates his utter hypocrisy on whining that Trump isn't “Draining the swamp”

He has utterly no problem with the swamp with DOJ and the Muller clown show nonsense. Absurd for him to whine about Kavanugh.

On Monday night, he rewarded the swamp denizens and deep state outliers by nominating one of their own to the Supreme Court.

Yep, someone who is very intimately intertwined from a young man until now.

I usually listen to POTUS Trump rather than watch him, but I did watch this.

Seemed different somehow watching him, his hair was more unusual than usual, the tie color was unexpected, his voice... I dunno, just seemed different.

Whenever I think about all he has kept US from and from US, I get a twinge of fear and then I pray for him and his family. Watching him announce Kavanaugh was one of those times.

And with the usual swamp creatures acting in character towards Kavanaugh, it all makes me wonder what arts were behind this deal.

Win some, lose some, just have to wait and see which this will be.
