The chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, Rep. Bob Goodlatte, said Wednesday that Republicans recently were forced to call in U.S. Marshals to serve former FBI lawyer Lisa Page with a subpoena to testify before Congress, as he accused Page of “apparently” having “something to hide.”
The revelation came after Page’s lawyer claimed she “will cooperate with this investigation,” even as Page defied that subpoena to appear on Wednesday before the House Judiciary and Oversight and Government Reform Committees.
Lawmakers want to question Page about her anti-Trump texts with FBI agent Peter Strzok, with whom she was having an affair.
Goodlatte told Fox News that Page’s attorney initially agreed to accept service of the subpoena for Page, but “then turned around and immediately tried to reject it."
"So that's why we sent the marshals to her house, to serve the subpoena,” the Virginia Republican said. “They had to go back three times before they were finally able to reach her."
Attorney Amy Jeffress told Fox News that Page would not appear on Capitol Hill on Wednesday because they did not have enough time to prepare. She said they would lawmakers to schedule another date for the closed-door interview.
President Trump lashed out at Page in a tweet on Wednesday evening, accusing her of aiding a “rigged witch hunt” at the FBI against him.
“Ex-FBI LAYER Lisa Page today defied a House of Representatives issued Subpoena to testify before Congress! Wow, but is anybody really surprised!” Trump tweeted. “Together with her lover, FBI Agent Peter Strzok, she worked on the Rigged Witch Hunt, perhaps the most tainted and corrupt case EVER!”

What we have here is the political arm of justice in action. Due to it being the political arm of justice I suspect none of the guilty will be punished but if someone innocent can be prosecuted the political arm of justice will incarcerate while the guilty continue in freedom. This person (page) is with the hitlery / Obama camp of corruption therefore immunity will be her received reward coupled with more ability to do wrongs The swamp is deep. I hope that Congress sends the Sgt of Arms after her, arrests her and plunks her into the Congressional jail in the basement of the Capital.
The DOJ has either suppressed the texts related to their “affair”, or that was all a lie. But since we know these two texted 50,000 times, I suspect there are salacious texts out there.
Democrats are LAW-LESS because Republicans are BALL-LESS!! She KNOWS NOTHING more is going to happen to her, and then she go on the TV circuit!
It was in the news early on that their texts were sorted into ‘personal’ verses ‘work’ piles, and where they were mixed the personal parts were redacted.

Oh, no; she’s had everything to review for weeks. They were careful to update / reinstate her clearance and permissions in order to do that. If that’s NOT true, then Gohmert, DeSantis, etc., are lying. I trust them more than Flicka’s lawyer.

They did provide everything. They weren’t required to provide ANY of it. This per Gregg Jarrett, a former prosecutor, or Joe diGenova. Can’t recall which.
They prefer to not provide documents ahead of time so they’re more likely to ger better answers during questioning. Letting someone review stuff they themselves have been involved in gives the person time to concoct untruthful answers.
The vast majority of their texts have been withheld.
