Keith Ellison Won’t Rule Out Democrats Impeaching Supreme Court Justices

DNC Deputy chair Keith Ellison told attendees at a Supreme Court Community Forum in Minneapolis Monday that Democrats could theoretically impeach Supreme Court justices if the party regains a majority following the 2018 midterm elections.

Double checked The House can impeach but the Senate then had to convict the judge of a crime.

Ah, but the “crimes” worthy of impeachment (to today's national-democrat-socialist party) HAVE ALREADY HAPPENED.

Today, obeying the written law, reading the Constitution, and merely being found ethical (much less Christian, Conservative, or even a capitalist) ARE criminal acts.

They were warned when Harry Reid changed the judge voting rules to advance Obama’s choice. They were told that they would “rue the day”.

I think today is the day they are “rueing”.

69,979,636 Americans voted for Trump in 2016.

Most polls go around 39% or so in favor of him as core support. Off and on he gets some 50% area but then slides again, and there are left tilted pollsters who do “oppose Trump taking immigrant children away from families” and “believe someone committed crimes in Trump Administration” questions that hurt Trump.

If they try to impeach justices, impeach Trump,send mobs to swarm around anyone at a GOP rally,beat up Trump supporters, and have Congress salute Mueller for uncovering the “crimes” of Trump-——we might get 1-2% sympathy added to the 39% core support.

A biased political campaign guy said last night (yes, on Alex Jones so let’s all laugh, I know) Dems are experts at vote fraud and may get 300% vote in 4-5 counties in swing states next time and overwhelm the true American citizen voters. Scary!!

I sincerely hope I am wrong.

This definitely rates up there with Congressman Hank Johnson, who thought that the island of Guam would "tip over and capsize" if 8,000 U.S. troops were stationed there. If someone on the street would have uttered this, you would immediately dismiss them as a raving moonbat, probably high on drugs or liquored up. However, in our Congress, such absurd statements are the NORM in many cases! If we really thought about the fact that people with the intellectual gifts of Ellison and Johnson are privy to sensitive U.S. info and responsible for decisions that affect us all, we'd go into convulsions.

“Separation of powers.”

A lot of people think because the branches have separate powers they are supposed to be “separate but equal” (a phrase that has nothing to do with that). They aren’t. The legislative branch is intended to be the most powerful. They can remove the others from office. Of course they would need a 2/3 majority in the Senate to do so, but the founders didn’t foresee partisan politics. They also have the power to regulate what cases the courts can hear and how, though to my knowledge it’s never been used. But if they wanted to they could pass a law and include a provision that the court was forbidden from judging the constitutionality of it, and include criminal penalties for the justices if they tried to do so.

Regulator, you don't want just to 'over-turn' RVW, you want it rewritten. As badly written now, no one is protected except Planned Parenthood and I don't believe RvW has any Constitutional jurisdiction that can be proven.

Rather than be beholden to the US Government, don't you think, sad as abortion is, it should be between a doctor and patient? Also let the states decide what is correct, that should be a no brainer.

People who think this court will overturn RvW are way ahead of the 'cart' and don't understand how badly written it is...few politicians do, they just want the female vote and will say and do just about anything no matter how egregious to get that vote.
