A medical doctor with 26 years of experience working at the National Health Service (NHS) has been deemed “unfit to work” after insisting on identifying patients by their biological sex.
Dr. David Mackereth, 55, began training in May to become a health and disability assessor for the government but ran into trouble when his Christian and scientific convictions ran afoul of department protocols.
In his new job, Dr. Mackereth was to compile independent reports about the health of persons who were claiming disability benefits. His instructor told him that regardless of a patient or client’s biological sex, he must only refer to them by their self-identified gender.
“I said that I had a problem with this,” Mackereth said. “I believe that gender is defined by biology and genetics and that as a Christian the Bible teaches us that God made humans male or female.”

Indeed. I’m not sure why this is really a religious issue. I don’t need the Book of Genesis to tell me that man and woman are innately and physically distinct.
His firing only confirms previous comments I made about London emergency room doctors who refuse to admit that they have to deal with a large amount of injuries due to stabbings and other types of violence. Back in May, President Trump commented about the violence in London, and how gun control hasn’t helped stem the tide of stabbings, etc., in the city. Of course the hospitals and the doctors they employ raised a cry against his comments. The hospitals hire and pay the doctors, but the money comes from the government. So if you don’t tow the line, and instead choose to buck the system like this long-time doctor did, you will be sent on your way.
I stated as much on another thread. Whatever ills befall the UK, they've brought it on themselves, and I'll not have any sympathy for them. Sad, because I love British history, but they've really stepped in it for many years now, and deserve what the future holds in store for them.

Because the left knows that it would look ridiculous if they tried to argue this on scientific grounds, so they make it a part of their war on Christianity -not religion, Christianity-I never hear of any leftist nonsense directed at, for instance, Buddhists or wiccans. Nor that elephant in the room, Islam, which in doctrine and in modern practice is violent and oppressive, unlike the Christianity the left has made their religious whipping boy.

There are two genders - XX and XY - female and male.
There are a vanishingly small number of birth defects - hermaphrodites, etc., - less than 1 in a million.
Everything else is varying degrees and flavors of mental illness.

Genders, in English, are Masculine, Feminine, and Neuter, which are strongly linked to biology, but not absolutely.
Gender is very seldom important in medicine, but the data-point of Sex is.
