McCain Tweets in Support of Kavanaugh
Twitter ^ | July 9, 2018 | John McCain

Judge Brett Kavanaugh has impeccable credentials & a strong record of upholding the Constitution. He is widely respected as a fair, independent & mainstream judge. I look forward to the Senate moving forward with a fair & thorough confirmation process.

He says he supports him. Question is, will he VOTE for him? Will he even show up?

>> McCain has had no change of heart. His approval is basically a sure sign that Kavanaugh is a centrist (he clerked for Kennedy, he is a Bush family devotee, he will not overturn Roe v Wade) <<

Pretty much same story with Gorsuch's nomination (clerked for Kennedy, Bush appointee, stated publicly that Roe v. Wade was "super settled" law and promised he wouldn't overturn it, had enthusiastic support from John McCain, etc.)

I don’t believe that McCain can even open his eyes to see a phone or computer screen, let alone type a tweet.

He’s dead, Jim.

(Or at Gitmo.)

I assign probabilities of 19% and 79%, respectively. The 19% also includes comatose. The 79% also includes being held somewhere other than Gitmo. The missing 2% is left for options I haven’t thought of.

Thanks for the ping. Somehow I doubt that McCrazy himself is able to tweet, and may not be capable at this point of much lucidity. It makes me wonder who’s actually responsible for this, and why. Puzzling.

I believe that if McCain’s vote is needed for confirmation, and he is able, he will travel to Wash. DC, to vote.

That’s the “thing”, isn’t it? There are probably 2 dozen Pub Senators who at best I’d consider “unreliable” — many of them are worse — but we’d darn well better hope they vote as McCain says he will.

Well, I’m hoping to get an evening when I can try to land another 3’ (or more) flathead (catfish) out of tight cover (snags) on modest duty freshwater tackle...

There are MUCH bigger gar in same lake, also. And they jump too - but I’ve never landed one of the big ‘uns.

Heck of a fun time!

:-)
