IHOP is officially back to its original identity as the International House of Pancakes.
On Monday, the chain announced on social media that its time as IHOb the International House of Burgers had come to an end.
"We're giving away 60¢ short stacks on July 17 from 7a-7p for IHOP's 60th birthday. That's right, IHOP! We'd never turn our back on pancakes (except for that time we faked it to promote our new burgers)," the chain posted on Facebook.

What?
iHobo
What a marvelous name for a website that caters to freeloaders!
For a drily funny take on the IHOP/IHOb watch this video:
ihoP ping..lol
Is there anyone out there that did not realize that iHob was just a promotion for its new menu items?
I was thinking International House of Blini (Blee-nee) Russian pancakes. Which was the same thing only better? But no. Anyway ... we went there once and that was enough. Everything tasted like it came from a box from the freezer adn went into the microwave.
It was a publicity stunt and nothing more. It got people talking about, which is always good.
IHOP, IHOb? Who cares? It will always be known as “The Sticky Place”.
Tables are either sticky or a shallow sea from the soaked rag they use to wipe the table.
Somebody beat us to it!

Oh yeah?
When's the last time you saw an Ihop thread here?
I still say “New Coke” was about adding HFCS to the original Coke formula, and getting people to literally beg for it.
I wasn’t particularly crazy about their pancakes at any price.
Better and cheaper places to eat.
The CEO was on Fox and Friends a few weeks back promoting the new Burgers I have to admit they look pretty tasty. But yeah a gimmick, but we’re here talking about it.
It was always temporary, a weird way to announce they were stepping up their burger offerings, but that’s all it was.
gimmick
I gave up on IHOP the day I found out they put pancake batter in their omelets.
When I order food, I want the food I ordered, not something else.
If I order eggs, I want eggs. Just eggs. Nothing but eggs.
Just focus on the two things customers care about most: food and service.
You stole my line...
