None of the four contenders being considered as President Donald Trump's nominee for the Supreme Court has been excluded, but the greatest focus has fallen on two candidates: Brett Kavanaugh and Thomas Hardiman, a source with first-hand knowledge of the process told NBC News.
Kavanaugh sits on the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals. Hardiman is a judge on the 3rd Circuit of Appeals.
The other two front-runners are Amy Coney Barrett Barrett of the 7th Circuit of Appeals and Raymond Kethledge of the 6th Circuit Court of Appeals.
CNBC reported last week that Trump privately indicated to a small group that he had settled on a nominee to succeed Justice Anthony Kennedy on the Supreme Court, according to a person with direct knowledge of the matter.
During the July 4 picnic at the White House, Trump suggested to friends and some external advisors that he had already made up his mind about whom he will pick to join the high court, the person said on the condition of anonymity due to the sensitive nature of the ongoing deliberations....

Trump wants Democratic heads to explode.
That’s not going to happen with a white male nominee who looks like something the Bushes would have chosen.
I wouldn’t be surprised if someone is feeding the adversary press outlets like CNN and NBC misinformation, so they’ll look silly when it ends ups being someone other than who they’re saying are the front runners.
And, Trump can then point out the ‘fake news’ were once again wrong.

She’s my choice. They’re perfectly willing to savage a non-conservative woman, but Trymp can get lots of mileage by making them do it. This lovely and smart woman, compared to the old hags the rats put on the court. Good optics I think

yeah, that one was 100% fake: they didn’t even bother to make up a fake source, just made the entire article up out of whole cloth!
Originalist and young is the ticket. The more the left has heart attacks the better. For one, I never imagined that Roe v Wade would actually have a chance to be overturned. I also want to see the gun grabbers lose everything.
