Sen. Richard Blumenthal says President Trump has become the “puppet” of outside conservative groups in the selection of the next U.S. Supreme Court justice.
“The president’s outsourced this decision to the Federalist Society and the Heritage Foundation,” Mr. Blumenthal said Sunday on ABC’s “This Week.” “It is extraordinary. I was a law clerk to Justice Blackmon. I’ve argued cases before the Supreme Court—four of them. I’ve never seen a president of the United States in effect make himself a puppet of outside groups and choose from a group of right-wing fringe ideologues that are prepared on this list.”

The President likes to be well informed.
I’m sure Trump doesn’t know every single judge.
So he goes to people he trusts for recommendations,
then he takes it from there.
Used to be that ‘stolen valor’ (i.e., false claims about military service) were disqualifying in politics. Shame on the people of Connecticut for selecting this dishonorable man.
As opposed to being a puppet of the NEA and ASCME like Blumenthal or Planned Parenthood like Obama?
Ummm, all the MSM talks about during Supreme Court nominations is “What does the American Bar Association say?”
“Have they vetted these candidates?”

Hmmm. If a decorated Vietnam war hero like Richard Blumenthal has a problem with the list of fringe judges that the president disclosed to the public for review before he was elected, maybe we should reconsider our position.

Projection; because a liberal has to follow the dictates of outside groups, by their logic, so must conservatives.
And of course, at this point, reading laws and the constitution as it is written is described as being a right wing ideologue.
