When will California reach the breaking point?

“It’s now illegal in California to shower and do laundry on the same day,” my husband read out loud to me a few weeks ago.

“How are they going to police that?” I wondered.

“It doesn’t matter,” he replied. “California is so out of touch with reality that it just doesn’t matter anymore.”

It saddens me to watch my former home state implode, but that’s precisely what is happening. California has been called the world’s largest insane asylum, and as headline piles upon headline illustrating the latest madness, the description seems apt.

It’s no wonder people are fleeing the Golden State in droves. What is the incentive to stay when taxes are sky-high, regulations are draconian and capricious, crime is rampant, infrastructure is crumbling, and politicians are so out of touch with reality they think they can make it illegal to shower and do laundry on the same day?

Housing prices, of course, are famously irrational. In Sunnyvale, a modest 848-square-foot home on a tiny lot gained national notoriety for its selling price. “After being listed in March for $1.45 million, it sold within 48 hours for $2 million, or $2,358 per square foot,” noted ZeroHedge. “With Sunnyvale’s 1.25 percent property tax, the new owners are paying $2,083 per month, or $250,000 every 10 years.”

It’s more than just the insane cost of living in the state. Many people are also fleeing the insane policies. Entrepreneur and venture capitalist Peter Thiel (a co-founder of PayPal and an early Facebook investor) says it’s one thing for a culture to be “quite liberal” and another for it to be “totalitarian.” Dissenting opinions are not permitted. If you don’t believe me, walk onto any California college campus with a MAGA hat and see how long you last.

Well, the folks in California can do what my wife did -- marry someone from out of state and move to be with them. It worked for us.

I didn’t say they would be fined. I did say they would be limited. San Jose continues to raise rates and threatens fines no matter what the allocation is

If you think liberals running water districts won’t find a way to screw you. you haven’t been paying attention

“Ohio has the 19th highest adult obesity rate in the nation, according to The State of Obesity: Better Policies for a Healthier America released August 2017.”

https://stateofobesity.org/states/oh

California comes in at 47.

https://stateofobesity.org/adult-obesity/

So, while obesity is found at a higher rate in Ohio, you’re right in that in terms of raw numbers, there may be more obese people here than in the Buckeye State.

Now as for your opinion of California, I guess it’s just that, your opinion. I’ve only been to Columbus for a few days around 1983 so I can’t say too much about Ohio. I hear parts of Cleveland are pretty rough.

at this point I don’t know what you’re saying. Here is what I’m saying. There is nothing in the law prohibiting showering and laundry on the same day. I gave an example where yo0u could still do not and maybe have fun and water your plants.

A stare limit is a limit and it;’s up to you to decide how to use your allotment.

Now WTH are you saying that’s different. if you say the law says what I say it doesn’t please cite that part of the act.

Okay, time to stop arguing. We are on the same side, just with a different perspective.

I think we agree that the leftist state government is corrupt and is hurting the hard working people of the state. I think we also agree that Trump must be re-elected in 2020. The rest is just details.

BTW, I hate the chamber of commerce.

In America, the communists need to destroy the middle class for the
revolution to move forward. They are just ahead of the game in Cali.

Good Californians are outnumbered by moonbats and illegals.

Remember Prop 187?

Heaven knows we try.

Let’s don’t forget proposition 8. It was overturned by a gay judge.

a gay judge.

Shouldn't there be a law against allowing the mentally ill to serve as judges.

Nothing to argue about. Those in control of the state prefer illegals/foreigners to what's left of white middle class in CA. Have you noted the institutions in CA teach exactly that?

Eventually CA will be made up mostly of the liberal/globalist wealthy elite and their illegal or foreign servants.

It might sound to some like I'm embellishing what's happening in CA but unfortunately I'm not. They've taken the crown jewel of America and totally perverted and subverted it. Personally I have nothing but contempt for those responsible.

It always seems to me that CA are either snotty elitists or thugs. And, even sensible people there think that living an hour from work in a million dollar 1200 ft ranch house on a pad is some type of luxurious living. And, the lawyers I interact with from CA schools seem to think they got these incredible educations, which they did not.

I know its about me. Thanks for disagreeing.

I love LA

But I only visit.

The state really does need to bust up

Dems don’t want all these new GOP senators and and turnovers in the house that would come from it
