The government has announced the details of President Donald Trump’s visit to the UK.

He will land in Britain on Thursday, July 12th, and then attend a function at Blenheim Palace – Trump has family ties to Scotland and the Royal Regiment of Scotland is due to perform at the event.

Then he’ll make the trip to Chequers to have talks with Theresa May and then he’s off to meet Her Majesty the Queen at Windsor Castle.

President Trump is then set to travel up to Scotland on Friday and stay until Sunday.

[UK] Government releases details of President Trump's UK [& Scotland] visit

Scotland is part of the U.K.

This is like announcing that the British PM would be visiting the U.S. - and also Alaska.

Regards,

"This is like announcing that the British PM would be visiting the U.S. - and also Alaska."

Wouldn't be a problem if the British MP had had Eskimo roots as Trump does Scottish, then the headline would be understood.

I see no reason for this trip, other than putting POTUS in danger.

With Britain set to leave the EU a new relationship and treaties will need to be worked out. Nothing will be done now of course, however Trump & May will have a better understanding of each other’s position.

May has a limited amount of time left as PM. I just don’t see her there in the job at the end of 2018.

Unless he questions May and gets her on the defensive about British involvement in our election, I want him to cancel this. That he can’t even step into London is an insult to a sitting president.

I’ve had it with the UK.

It's an insult to London, which (if what we read and see is true) has irreversibly continued its slide to becoming an ISIS terror state. I wonder if it will reach a point where royals can't safely venture into London.

I’m sure that if I visited (I’ve been boycotting it) it would still be the same old London. As someone who was there during George W.’s state visit, I will never forget the natives bad behavior there. Disgusting!

I’m sure by the time POTUS returns from this trip the EU powers that be will be left wondering... What The Hell Do We Do NOW!

Bottom Line of his message: Go Ahead Make My Day

I wish he wouldn’t go. I don’t think it will accomplish anything noteworthy and I kinda feel he isn’t really safe there. Sad huh?

It is a very sad, but remarkable to wish the President was going to Moscow rather than London.

Europe and Britain can’t stand seeing the US prosper and why we give them so much respect and attention is beyond my understanding.

I agree. They are arrogant, lazy, spoiled bastards. They think they can humiliate and insult us while we pay most of the bills.

They have been doing it for years and it has become a habit. They are no friends of ours and never have been. Ending the charade is long overdue.

The Brits themselves, not the leaders, LOVE Trump.

The Brits expressions of “love” usually come in the form of insults, criticism and contempt. The Brits need trade deals so once again we are tolerated, nothing more.

He’s the leader of Britain’s greatest historical ally and he should be greeted with open arms.

Not sure how accurate that "greatest historical ally" part is anymore.

NOT A STATE VISIT?

WHERE IS THE BRITISH ROYAL FAMILY?

IS THIS A SNUB OF THE PRESIDENT WHO RETURNED THE BUST OF SIR WINSTON CHURCHILL TO THE OVAL OFFICE?

IS THE BRITISH GOVERNMENT ENDORSING THE VILE AND INSULTING BALLOON EFFIGY OF PRESIDENT TRUMP THAT IS SCHEDULED TO FLY OVER LONDON?

IS THIS AN OFFICIAL INSULT TO THE AMERICAN PEOPLE?
