(CNSNews.com) - "Our economic policy can be summed up in three very simple but beautiful but beautiful words," President Donald Trump told a rally in Montana Thursday evening: "Jobs, jobs, jobs," he said.
On Friday, the Labor Department's Bureau of Labor Statistics said the economy added 213,000 jobs in June, a strong number; the number of employed Americans, 155,576,000, set its tenth record of the Trump presidency; but the number of unemployed Americans (which includes people who are actively looking for jobs) increased by almost half-a-million. The unemployment rate increased two tenths of a point to 4.0 percent.
In June, the nations civilian noninstitutionalized population, consisting of all people age 16 or older who were not in the military or an institution, reached 257,642,000. Of those, 162,140,000 participated in the labor force by either holding a job or actively seeking one.
The 162,140,000 who participated in the labor force equaled 62.9 percent of the 257,642,000 civilian noninstitutionalized population, a slight increase from last month's 62.7 percent.

Yet unions will still support Democrats...........................
Wait a minute! 0bama assured us that jobs would not be coming back to America.
You mean...he was wrong? Who’da thunk it?
Wait! This can’t be true.
Obama was perfect. He never made a mistake in his life.
How can this be?????
Youd think the stock market would go crazy big today but this trade war stuff is muting it I guess.
From what I see in my own small, humble world, the rank-and-file union member has woken up to how they have been sold out by the Democratic Party - and the union leadership.
I’m hoping that may be true all around the country.
The real problem are the union bosses, who are in cahoots with the Cortez socialists.
Yep, that’s because the unions don’t their members and have not since they were taken over by globalist assholes.
They outlived their usefulness 50 years ago.................
Another positive is MORE people are LOOKING for work that have fallen off the rolls for years. Also, we’re expanding and can’t find enough people for a position——we used to have the opposite problem, people looking for jobs and we were not looking for anyone.
Some other highlights:
My first instinct is to ask about the Labor Force Participation Rate, but seeing how they include the ages 18 to 65 in this stat, I am beginning to question even this as a measure of the overall health of the job market. A huge chunk of those between age 18 to 22 are still in school and large number of those above 62 ( the eligible age to get social security ), are already retired.
From 2006 to 2016, the U.S. civilian labor force participation rate has hovered in the 62 to 67 range, with a fairly consistent decrease in the participation rate since 2009.
When the unemployment rate was falling under President Obama, Republicans kept harping on the Labor force Participation Rate to indicate how deceptive that measure is. well, whats good for the goose should be good for the gander.
Id like to know what this measure is at this point in time under Trump.
Speaking to your point, I believe these people you speak of are now looking for work is due in a large part of the confidence this President has instilled in the average American.
President Trump has ignited the ‘animal spirits’, as they say.
In 2016 US employment was 126 million. Increasing employment by 20 million people in two years is quite a feat.
In retrospect it was not rocket science for this to happen.
Getting rid of a Communist President Obama, getting rid of job killing regulations, and cutting income taxes create good jobs. The people innately knew that voting for Trump would put an end to Socialist job killing practices.
