I actually had a soft spot in my heart for Ed Schultz. He was a Leftwing blowhard and a clown. He made all the normal Leftwing arguments and made conservatives out to be greedy, selfish and evil. But there was something about him that was unintentionally funny. I always was amused by his more heated rhetoric. Maybe he just reminded me of some people in my family — blue collar, Leftwing blowhards.

I knew of him when he was in Fargo and very conservative.
His named was bandied about as a Republican candidate for state-wide office. But a divorce and falling in with a left wing crowd certainly changed him. However, on election night 2016, he blasted Hillary Clinton for not coming out and conceding. So a slight redemption there!

Off and on, I probably caught twenty hours of Ed over the past two decades. Out of every 100 things he said....I did come to agree with 5-percent of them. Like you, I had a soft spot for Ed....thinking he’d accidentally flip and become conservative one day.
