Amber Heard faced massive backlash on Twitter when she tried to warn neighbors of a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement checkpoint near her home.
“Just heard there’s an ICE checkpoint in hollywood, a few blocks from where I live. Everyone better give their housekeepers, nannies and landscapers a ride home tonight…,” she wrote in a since-deleted tweet.
Twitter users were swift to call her out.

“hi, amber. i love you so much so i’m gonna say this to you: not all immigrants are housekeepers, nannies and landscapers (not that there’s anything wrong with being one) but this stereotype should have long been eradicated,” posted another.
Heard didn’t apologize for her original tweet but instead followed up with another one about immigration checkpoints.
“Checkpoints on your home streets…. Is this the ‘great’ America we’re aiming for? Raids, fences and police-state like checkpoints don’t feel like the ‘land of the free’ our immigrant ancestors built.”
After deleting her initial tweet, Heard posted a photo of a child and wrote, “With this human rights crisis being so politicized, it is hard to make a simple statement w/out it being used to distract from the real issues. Its hard for everyone to not be negatively affected by this subject n some way.”
A rep for Heard didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment.

Arresting and charging these people with obstruction would be a deterrent to others to some degree. But letting the few who cross over the line have their fun is always an option in dealing with things like this. Better for optics and keeps the peace.
When the opposition is calling you draconian, don't help them prove their case by responding in a draconian way. Best to ignore them. This woman's tweet probably had no significant impact on the ICE operation anyway.
It's just irritating and frustrating watching the Left back illegals and criminals all whilst stabbing law-abiding citizens in the back. The democRATS have shifted so far Left that they have exposed themselves as mainstream socialists and communists. Many in this group think Bernie is too right-wing. Go figure.
It's apparent they care more about the people who break our laws than those who abide by our laws.
So if you know....the police are going to find a murderer...at a particular public place. Because you saw the Police massing....
And you inform the murderer..that the cops are coming...

Hiring someone from fly-over country ... my SIL was a nanny for a rich family in big city for a couple of years while her hubs was in college.
The parents and the school hardly knew what hit them ...common sense was so rare in that environment. Some of her stories left us gob-smacked, too.

I disagree with her views on illegal aliens. But she has every right in the world to tell people about a checkpoint that law enforcement is running in public view regardless of what they are doing.
If law enforcement wants to keep it secret then they need to do it in secret.
Keep in mind that the same principle applied to conservative activists who took video and reported on the Jade Helm urban assault exercises that took place in urban areas, in public view, and in daylight.
If come 2020 we get a repressive socialist regime and they order law enforcement to start running checkpoints against us then I want the right to report on them. That means protecting the right regardless of who uses it and why.

Sounds bogus.
ICE definitely sets up checkpoints near the border, but Hollywood is more than 100 miles from the border.
Maybe a Drivers License - Car Insurance - Expired Plates - Sobriety - Warrant check?

Shoot, that guy looks like Radar on MASH. But I imagine he is getting drivers to slow down and drive legally. Do you suppose warning illegal aliens of ICE checkpoints will somehow create legal immigrants?
yeah give them a ride and get arrested for aiding and abetting illegal entry real smart hope they stake her house out and nail her green light!
FWIW, Radar and the other couple sign wavers I’ve seen were arrested and paid, although IIRC, one is still fighting it.

Seems to me that in your example, the caller is a coconspirator, and already a party to a crime.
