Democrats are in a Crisis and the Media Won't Talk About It
Washington Examiner ^ | 6/30/2018 | Eddie Scarry

The Democratic Party is in an ongoing crisis, but most of the national media aren’t interested. They’d rather talk about the new “rock star,” Democratic Socialist Alexandria Ocasio-Coretz, and ignore that the party is up in flames.

Now is the time for a “What Have You Got to Lose” / “Is This You? Join us and help Make America Great Again” campaign to peel off Democrat / Independent voters.

Does the “rock star” have to face a Republican in November?

Probably not.

Her district used to be white ethnic union members, who would never vote for a Republican.

Now, it's majority alien peasants who still worship winged serpents, who have never HEARD of Republicans.

But, be at peace. The concentration of these crazies into 50 or so House districts where all they know is what they hear from Bill Maher and Michael Moore (at the high end) or from the voodoo houngan or Aztec Quetzalcoatl (at the low end) does two good things: it takes voters (can you believe these beings are VOTING???) out of districts with normal Democrats, making it harder for white Democrats to win, and it also EXPOSES what's ahead if we don't go full-on Trump.

“Before, she was just a really good looking staffer for Kennedy. Now, she’s going to be in there with the wolves.”

Yes, she will just replace the retiring Luis Gutierrez, and a small, indolent voice in the House with no place to really shine and do anything effective. By beating Crowley, she has earned the enmity of the old-guard RATs who were looking forward to “Joe’s leadership” when Pelousey flames out. She will get an office under some stairwell for openers.

The “Rock Star” may be a one-hit-wonder and even that eclipses the Dems who see their grip on power going the route of their grip on sanity.......

It's a majority-minority district, so she's a shoo-in. The Republican will be a sacrificial lamb, as usual. In 2016, Crowley's Republican opponent lost with 17.1% of the vote.

She understands like Bernie did that there is no reason to temper the magnitude of lies she tells. Promise them anything and when you can’t deliver blame someone else.

The MSM are master manipulators. They’ve done it long enough to know how to sway opinion, publish half truths that elicit desired reactions from a segment of the populace.

This is what my owners manual says about all this nonsense.

John 8:44 New International Version (NIV)
44 You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies.

You folks are under-estimating Ocasio-Cortez.

No we are not.

In the end she will become a Hispanic Maxine Waters being used by the rich white men that run the Democrat party, or they will simply cut all support for her and she loses in the next election.

Heh, she’s a “activist” and a bartender.
She’ll be a good match for Colorado’s Gov who we know will be pushed for the presidency. He’s got an IQ slightly to the south of 95 and ran a brewery (not to insult all the very good and valuable folks who brew that darned good bear).
This is the new dimbulbcrat party.
And, of course, the press will back them, because to the press intelligence approaching average impresses them.

Democratic Socialist Alexandria Ocasio-Coretz ran as a Democrat, NOT as a Democratic Socialist.

That should tell people all they need to know...straight line Democrat vote.

You folks are under-estimating Ocasio-Cortez.

She's the face of the modern Democratic Party and she's going to drive the party to the far left, where no apologies will be made about being a socialist.

She mostly threatens Nancy Pelosi and the big moneyed white wing of Democrats who have careers in academia and entertainment and summer homes in the Hamptons. Notice how dismissive Pelosi was of Cortez's victory.

Both parties are changing. On the Republican side, we have Trump's MAGA populism leading the way while the Democrats have Bernie Sanders' socialism pulling it unapologetically leftward.

It's an exciting time to be alive!

But you are correct. Nobody here should underestimate Ocasio-Cortez. There will be many more like her. Too many here think this is the same country that elected Reagan in the 80s. It's not.

There was never a blue wave. It was all a pipe dream based on historical mid-term results where the party in power loses seats. They want history to repeat itself without any message regular people can support.

The Democrat party is large metro areas on the coasts and it is no longer a national party as a result.

Here's another well-written article from the Washington Examiner:

In one paragraph, the writer correctly says:

But complacency would be a big mistake for Republicans. They must not take the principles that made America great for granted, for if they do they will eventually be eroded by Ocasio-Cortez’s brand of sub-Marxism. New generations of voters will not necessarily be aware of socialism's egregious and dangerous flaws. They have no experience, and many have little understanding, of the baneful effects of that pernicious ideology when it is installed in government. As the socialism of Ocasio-Cortez and the likes of Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., increasingly seizes the imagination of the ill-educated,> Republicans cannot assume that liberty will always be more appealing to the public than the siren song of egalitarianism.

And says here:

Conservatives must be able to cite from memory the many examples of the inevitable failure of collectivism and central planning. They must be able to explain how socialism lends itself to violent coercion, perhaps citing current events in Venezuela. They must be able to explain why profit is a good thing and why social institutions that exist independent of government, especially churches, should be encouraged as beneficial to all. They must make the case for traditional families as the fundamental building block of society, upon the strength of which society leans more heavily than it leans on a stable government.

To not confront this woman immediately and point the destructive end result of her philosophy and lies could very well be a fatal political mistake. She, like Chavez, will quickly rock the nation because she is Hispanic, she is charismatic and she will bond with Hispanic women who WILL have a significant influence on their men. White millenial liberals educated deliberately in the public schools to be unable to process critical thought and hate religion will, of course, be gullible and fall for her since she will represent for them the very last life ring thrown as their political philosophy drowns in a sea of logic and reason. Behold, the revolution.
