A baby died May 24 at Kern Medical after being pulled from the womb with a fractured skull. Police believe the baby girl's parents are to blame, but the case has presented a legal conundrum eliciting strong opinions about how to proceed.
The mother is believed to have been 30 weeks into her pregnancy when she arrived at the hospital, according to a search warrant affidavit filed by Bakersfield police.

It was during that interview with officers that police say she told them she and her boyfriend agreed for him to beat her in an attempt to kill the baby.
Police say she told them he struck her stomach with his fists "at least 10 times," after which she "stopped feeling the baby move."

I’m sorry if you don’t like that observation. To me it is so glaringly obvious, and it’s why, in fact, I can’t get along well with a lot of churchly people. I’ve found “Hindus” with better faith in Christ, than Christians in church. (I speak of the Hindu as a special case, as that faith system lets one choose any deity — and some choose the God of the Christians and Jews.) God specializes in making the irregular cases beat out the regular ones. just to prove that the latter’s boasts of being so regular are not what ultimately matters.

But it would take place to show that the arm of flesh won’t prevail, but that the arm of the Lord (and nothing else) will come forth even from under Satan’s pressure, with a great display of grace, not of pridefully thumbing the nose.
