I am fine, great with this, as long as it isn’t the party version of rats moving from blue states to red when they don’t like the unintended consequences of their actions, but keep repeating them. There’s a reason we’re not the left, many reasons.

I’m a little leery of someone who could drink the Kool-Aid until 2016 and be surprised, but better late than never.

I think a major problem is with people who are basically non-political and low-information, and vote Democrat simply because their parents and grandparents and great-grandparents voted Democrat. There are millions of them out there.

they have more concern for illegal aliens than they do for their own countrymen.

Actually, libs don't care about illegals either. The hard concept for so many to grasp is the uni-party members are simply agnostic with respect to policy and/or constituents.

That is, think of DNC/GOPe professional politicians as executives running a manufacturing business. They don't really care what they make, as long as the product sells. Greater sales, more bonuses, higher share values, increased net wealth. And if the market gets saturated, too competitive, etc and price/profitability begins to drop? Well, get busy developing new product ideas and IDing new market segments.

In this case, illegals are simply the new market with which libs think they can score a winning result. If that strategy doesn't work out - it won't - we'll see the DNC ditch that group faster than a bag of poo, and start waving the flag like there's no tomorrow.

There are fundamentally two camps of Democrats which are a universe apart:

1) Those "legacy" Democrats who fought in WWII, Korea and Vietnam, who were union members and saw the D party as the "party of the working man;" and
2) the uber-radical leftist/Marxist/Nihilist Democrats who see the party as merely a vehicle to "fundamentally transform the United States."

You could almost excuse the legacy Democrats for the party devotion after they lived through the Great Depression and world wars. Now, there's no excuse.

But the jackass is a useful creature.

Our crossed-paths may have gone sideways here and there, but your heart is in the right place. This is great news.

You left out the mindless dem headline readers who are so naive they think late night talk show hosts are news “journalists.” Think soccer moms and first semester college know-it-alls.

Its amazing how Trump pulled the support-beams out from under so many political, deep state, crony-capitalist, seemingly perpetual, organizations and ideas.

He set fire to the support beams:

A growing number of Americans see they have more concern for illegal aliens than they do for their own countrymen.

The true believers have fallen for this family separation BS, but I think that the fact that so much of the imagery has now been shown to be clearly fake (ie. Time Magazine cover) has put a pretty big dent in this. The cumulative effect of decades of “global warming” propaganda has also caused many to become more skeptical. Overall the Democrats have overplayed their hand.

When I meet black people or other minorities who are “my age” (around 60) there is no expectation from them or me that our different ethnicities will have any effect on our relationship. But 8 years of poisoning the well with nonsense by the Obama administration has really screwed up the minds of many young people. This was done for political purposes but I think that it is starting to backfire on the Democrats with many younger white and Asian people starting to get tired of being constantly villainized and discriminated against by the system in the name of racial equality.

“Many will re-register to Independent or Decline To State. But once they’re in the voting booth, I suspect a majority will continue to pull the DEM lever. “

not the ones i know ... yes, the first step is to register as unaffiliated, but believe me, they do NOT continue to vote Dem ... emotionally, it’s a big deal to un-identify with your political party of decades ... it requires a major shift in thinking and a major shift in self-perception to want to abandon a political party, so after undergoing such a fundamental transformation, it makes no sense to continue to vote for that party after abandoning it ...
