A senior White House official says President Trump will push for the swift confirmation of a Supreme Court justice "before the midterm elections."
A list of well-established conservatives is in place, so a nomination is expected to come "within weeks," the official said.

No kidding. Every time I start to hate mitch, I remember him pulling his limbs and head into his shell, and waiting out obama leaving office. He held FIRM and refused to put another liberal on SCOTUS. Without his actions, we’d have lost all these cases recently.

True, but a lot of Senators in red states are also running. Heitkamp in North Dakota is one example. If she goes against Trump she is done.
Some Dem Senators up for re-election are getting very very nervous.
but there are lots of Dems for re-election in strong Trump states. Manchin in WV, I don’t think he votes against Trump, neither the Dem senator from North Dakota or Montana who are up.
I don’ think Hatch or Corker will cause problems, McCain and Flake, maybe. I think 2 of the Dems above will support Trump’s pick
