Now he can ban beaners and anyone else he wants.

Is it possible to keep people in California?

:-)

We’ve been on both sides of the 1 vote scuttling the constitution more times than I can count. SCOTUS is, really, a political body. I’ve little problem with that; but political actions from the bench demand political reactions from the other bodies.

Sotomayer & Ginsberg’s dissent is just a political screed; immediate impeachment should follow.

Yes, seems that way. Applying this court decision, Trump should take immediate steps to secure the Mexican border. Close it until Mexico can take responsibility for its citizens and those it lets into their country. Especially as they have a leading presidential candidate calling for invasion of the US, Trump should act.

You are correct there. McConnell gets a bad rap and sometimes deservedly so but he has done some incredibly good things for us over the last few years

True, but the tactic is to keep delaying or diluting the travel ban, with the hopes that the public will somehow side with the DEMs.

Judge Napolitano just said the President can close the ports of entry immediately and he recommends he do so.

The fact that it was not 9-0 demonstrates the poor quality of some of the judges sitting on the court.

And yet, they have the final say in our country, with no checks and balances on their power.

I don't think the Founding Fathers intended it that way.

Andrew Jackson put a check on their power in practice. If he didn't like their ruling, he ignored it. Then, if Congress sided with the Court, Congress could always try to impeach and remove the President.

At least that was a check on the Supreme Court's power. Nowadays there's no check.

It’s a win, but it’s disheartening that it was a 5-4 decision. The minority opinion said that the ban gave “the appearance of discrimination”. Rather than vote on the actions of the administration, the minority justices voted on the appearance they thought they saw.

That’s not law, that’s “stick a finger in the air” judging. Those 4 justices ought to be ashamed of themselves, but without a conscience, there can be no shame.

"The court rules the president has absolute power on immigration on national security grounds!! "

In the voice of Lee Corso: "not so fast my friend!" The SC decision seems to center on the legislative language of the ability to vett applicants for entry. Trump still must follow the Congressional intent/language found in legislation. The ruling does not grant the President absolute power over immigration.

As to the invasion of our southern border, the president's powers will be challenged and litigated because of once again, Congressional intent/language in various laws.

The SC decision is still a win for Trump and our causs.

So inquiring minds want to know how many possible terrorists have been allowed to enter our country, because of these stinking liberal activist judges, who blocked the ban?

“This should bode well for the case to build the wall as well”

The ruling reaffirms the President calls the shots for the National Security of the USA. Are tens of thousands of deaths a year from Mexican smuggled Fentenyl a National security issue? Sure is as far as I’m concerned.

Other than the crossing of Commerce, shut down the boarders until the Rats blink and fully fund the Wall.
