DOJ Response to Goodlatte Letter: FISAs and the Clinton Foundation (!)
DOJ Office of Congressional Affairs ^ | June 22, 2018 | Jill Tyson

Posted on 06/24/2018 7:57:38 AM PDT by LS

Regarding a request (#9) by Goodlatte/Gowdy on all emails related to "all coverage on the Clinton Foundation or persons associated or in communication with the Clinton Foundation," the FBI is replying with a classified letter. This is also related to request #8 and the two are intertwined, so materials are put in a classified briefing room.

After the committee reads those materials, it is asked to then specify further what other docs they want.

I couldn’t find a thread anywhere so....Does anybody know if DOJ/FBI met Nunes’s 5PM deadline to deliver documents?

It has a lot to do with your comment.

“Legally forbidden to touch,” yet he touches, nay, controls through the budget process. But I agree—and Steve Bannon agreed-—that “Sessions had to recuse himself.”

But he’s anything but “sitting inert.” If you threw out the political stuff against Cankles and Combover and the FBI, look at all the stuff Sessions’ DOJ has done in the last year? It’s mind boggling.

*MS-13 crackdown
*unprecedented pedo crackdowns
*Bust of the “dark web”
*bust of medicaid fraud (I’m told by docs this is a big deal)
*Quickly processed Charlottesville and nothing came of a very flammable situation.
*Is an integral part of ALL trade negotiations and you can bet those are huge.

I have already forgotten a dozen others. He has been very, very busy.

Saying you don’t follow something where the news is anymore is a pretty lame comment.

I told you where Goodlatte released the news. He, like most, happens to do so on Twitter now.

He has been very, very busy.

I'll give Sessions credit for what little he's done since being appointed AG, but's mostly been a bunch of rear guard action.

He has willfully allowed a situation to exist where the U.S. Attorney General is legally neutered, and unable to lead the charge into the greater battle before us.

Under such circumstances, there are only two honorable choices:

1. Withdraw his recusal ad get to work fighting the real fight.

2. Resign, and let a better man fill the position.

Sitting in the middle, like he's doing, is a choice to aid and abet the Deep State coup plotters. It's dishonorable in the extremme, and needs to be called out for what it is.

Assuming some of the docs don’t disappear.

If the Clinton Foundation, any of its members, and/or the DNC funded the “Dossier” project of Christopher Steele and Fusion GPS (which included former FBI employee and wife of FBI official Ohr), then you know why the committee is interested in the whole affair.

There were a lot of other possible government officials with connections to Fusion GPS, or who used cut-outs to help them compile the dossier.

Since Steele was a former high ranking British MI6 agent, his involvement in American politics, his Russian “sources”, and other American contacts, make him a prime target of Congress because of national security issues.

Using a “national security” rationale (a very legitimate one) for this phase of the investigations into the Clinton Foundation, et al., makes a lot of sense. Congress can cast a wide subpoena net for anyone whose name legitimately appears to have been in on the “dossier” fraud, from Mifsud, Greenberg, the NY professor friend of Comey, to Simpson (Fusion GPR), Michael Isikoff and hardcore Marxist writer David Corn, among others.

THe same for the Russian lawyer Veseliskya (sp.?) and others who were to be “dossier” sources.

None of them would have an immunity to protect them unless they rolled over and howled like a dog whose balls were just stepped on.

Investigations, esp. open hearings, on this issue could continue right up to election time. Wouldn’t that be a shame!

Rep. Meadows did not seem happy with DOJ’s “cooperation” on Monday. We’ll see what happens

UPDATE:

I can confirm a grand jury exists in Little Rock. It was empaneled over a month ago. I got an email from the office of the grand juror’s office.

Cody Hiland was appointed by Trump to be the federal prosecutor for that district in January.

That’s the good news.

In searching the Arkansas Gazette, the main paper of Little Rock, I can find NO news of Hiland since then; no Clinton Foundation news; no mention of a grand jury. Admittedly, this might be secret. However, what I did find in the Arkansas Gazette were a couple of high-profile cases, one against an Arkansas legislator and a rather large drug bust.

It is possible that Hiland is pursuing a case against the Clinton Crime Family Foundation, but it’s also entirely possible the grand jury was empaneled for these other cases.

An argument from silence is by no means proof, but it doesn’t look as positive as I hoped.

The Q thing is impossible to find or follow. At first I could find the posts. Now, I try every thing mentioned with the Q and nothing shows any “official” post by Q. The latest issue I can find (and the only post I can find) is dated 6-18. That is hardly up to date. I give up. Takes too much underbrush to follow.

Grand juries are basically not publicized, esp. in major criminal cases. This is to protect the jurors, witnesses, and even the process.

Sometimes a grand jury is empaneled by a local official to investigate something that everyone knows about but for which there has been no criminal arrests, as of yet.

There might be a grand jury sitting now looking into Strzok, Page, Ohrs, Weissman, Rosenstein, Comey, McCabe, Lynch, and even Obama re the fake “Russian Collusion” affair.

My money’s on there being one.

There also could be grand juries (or one all encompassing one) for the “Dossiergate” criminal operation, Russian involvement with the Dossier and the Clinton Foundation, and even the Brennan-Clapper roles in Dossiergate.

Another great sitting grand jury could be, if it exists, looking into Pakistani espionage re the DNC IT group and Little Debbie Wasserman’s possible sexual involvement with Awan, as well as coverup for the IT affairs.

Wouldn’t it be great to be a fly on the wall of these grand juries? Bring a lot of food - they will be long and comprehensive, esp. if non-corrupt federal and state officials are conducting them (which leaves out a lot of Democrat DAs and prosecutors).

Like I said, I saw a public notice of empanelment of a grand jury in Little Rock about 3-4 months ago, and sent an e-mail to the office of the grand jury, courts division, who confirmed there is a grand jury empaneled there.

That’s all I know.

Witnesses summoned to grand juries in Arkansas, Utah or Oklahoma would be squealing like stuck pigs if they were being closely questioned about the Clintons.

Once it is suspected that a grand jury is investigating someone high-profile, reporters and even bloggers stake out federal courthouses looking for any of the players believed to be involved in the particular case.

Politically-charged investigations always ‘leak’.
