If the Clinton Foundation, any of its members, and/or the DNC funded the “Dossier” project of Christopher Steele and Fusion GPS (which included former FBI employee and wife of FBI official Ohr), then you know why the committee is interested in the whole affair.

There were a lot of other possible government officials with connections to Fusion GPS, or who used cut-outs to help them compile the dossier.

Since Steele was a former high ranking British MI6 agent, his involvement in American politics, his Russian “sources”, and other American contacts, make him a prime target of Congress because of national security issues.

Using a “national security” rationale (a very legitimate one) for this phase of the investigations into the Clinton Foundation, et al., makes a lot of sense. Congress can cast a wide subpoena net for anyone whose name legitimately appears to have been in on the “dossier” fraud, from Mifsud, Greenberg, the NY professor friend of Comey, to Simpson (Fusion GPR), Michael Isikoff and hardcore Marxist writer David Corn, among others.

THe same for the Russian lawyer Veseliskya (sp.?) and others who were to be “dossier” sources.

None of them would have an immunity to protect them unless they rolled over and howled like a dog whose balls were just stepped on.

Investigations, esp. open hearings, on this issue could continue right up to election time. Wouldn’t that be a shame!

UPDATE:

I can confirm a grand jury exists in Little Rock. It was empaneled over a month ago. I got an email from the office of the grand juror’s office.

Cody Hiland was appointed by Trump to be the federal prosecutor for that district in January.

That’s the good news.

In searching the Arkansas Gazette, the main paper of Little Rock, I can find NO news of Hiland since then; no Clinton Foundation news; no mention of a grand jury. Admittedly, this might be secret. However, what I did find in the Arkansas Gazette were a couple of high-profile cases, one against an Arkansas legislator and a rather large drug bust.

It is possible that Hiland is pursuing a case against the Clinton Crime Family Foundation, but it’s also entirely possible the grand jury was empaneled for these other cases.

An argument from silence is by no means proof, but it doesn’t look as positive as I hoped.
