Stopped in Lexington to visit an old friend at VMI while on my way to Fort Lee while on TDY. Decided to to eat at this restaurant and was appalled at the uncleanliness of the place: bathrooms were third-world atrocious and there was food and trash on the floor underneath the tables. I'm glad that it took so long for the service to arrive because it gave me a chance to act on my second thoughts and leave the premises before I caught something that Army medicine might not be able to cure.
That is classic.
There is a Mexican restaurant in Tucson that has been there for decades. When I lived there I used to eat at that place. After I moved, Bill Clinton ate there twice and they even named a meal after him. When I go to Tucson now, I eat at another place just down the street.
Some of the negative reviews are hilarious. It’s obvious that many of them have never eaten there, and are exaggerating things about the food.
