Full title: Sarah Sanders response to being kicked out of restaurant: Owner's actions 'say far more about her than about me'

Short video at link.

White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders on Saturday responded to being kicked out of a Virginia restaurant after a server's post about the incident went viral.

Sanders confirmed the incident in a tweet, and said that she always treats those she disagrees with “respectfully.”

“Last night I was told by the owner of Red Hen in Lexington, VA to leave because I work for [President Trump] and I politely left,” Sanders tweeted. “Her actions say far more about her than about me. I always do my best to treat people, including those I disagree with, respectfully and will continue to do so.”

Jaike Foley-Schultz, a waiter at the restaurant, posted on Facebook that he served Sanders and her family “for a total of 2 minutes” before the owner asked the press secretary’s party to leave.

Trump critics and supporters alike took to the restaurant’s Facebook and Yelp pages to leave one- or five-star reviews responding to the incident. “If you are a whining liberal feel free to eat here, if you are a TRUE AMERICAN stay away,” one Facebook user wrote.

On the opposite end of the spectrum, a five-star Yelp review read: “The best. I've heard that they serve crow to those deserving of it.”

Sanders is the third Trump administration official to be recently targeted at a restaurant, in addition to Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen and White House senior adviser Stephen Miller.

Certainly, I’d rather know. But it also stinks that they can sue people from our side for not actively promoting their message, while they can kick us out simply for knowing our views. That’s some gall. They believe that we must promote their agenda, and suppress our own!

Thing is, the vast majority of “Mexican” food served in the US originated in Texas:

Topping entrees with cheddar cheese.
Nachos were invented by military wives.
Chili - as in a bowl of spicy meat. Chili in Mexico is the chili plant/vegetable.
Frito Pie - Lay’s Potato Chip company
Fajitas - As little as 10 years ago, most Mexicans here never heard of them.
Enchiladas
Mexican Combo Plate - San Antonio
Cumin spice - India
Most anything on a Taco Bell menu.

Tweet from Dan Bongino:
Snowflakes aren’t ready for the long game. My guess is this restaurant will see a spike in business from kooky liberals for a few weeks. But they’re soft, & they have to get back to mommy’s basement & won’t return. Conservatives however, will NEVER return. We play the long game.

“well I am having grown up originally in SFO..then So Cal... left at 30 years old 40 years ago..though I do go back on occasion. So for shit cities your state leads the pack”

I was born in San Francisco, but CA isn’t the issue being discussed here, it’s Lexington. Sure today, CA leads the pack with $hit cities, fortunately where we live, isn’t one of them. I was simply asking why there was no push back from Lexington, if it’s as conservative as you suggest.

From heavy.com

In an interview with The Washington Post, Wilkinson said the chef had informed her when Sanders arrived and said the staff was concerned. She was at home when the chef called her, and drove to The Red Hen to see for herself. The kitchen was preparing Sanders’ party’s main course. Wilkinson said several of their employees were gay and knew Sanders had defended President Donald Trump’s statements about banning transgender people from the military, and they were also all concerned about the immigration debate. Wilkinson said she asked her staff if they wanted her to ask Sanders to leave, and the staff said yes. Wilkinson wanted to point out that Sanders had been served and not just refused service on sight. She said she asked Sanders to speak with her out on the patio. “I explained that hte restaurant has certain standards that I feel it has to uphold, such as honesty and compassion,”

Compassion, snort.

“Each day we create a new menu based on the freshest and tastiest produce and meat, whether it is a ribeye steak from cattle raised by the Potter family, who have been farming in nearby Collierstown for seven generations, or a beet risotto using vegetables from Rancho Calixto, a family farm founded by immigrants from Mexico. This dedication to local food means each dish preserves the intricate flavors of the land. It’s also good for the environment and our local economy.”

Are they hiring their illegal relatives? Call ICE.

Her magazine, Brain Child - “The magazine strives to bring together the many voices of women from different backgrounds, circumstances, and experiences in a way that provides mothers with insight and perspective into real issues.

The Sanders' kids' mama didn't get a voice.

Wilkinson has been the executive director of Main Street Lexington since 2014. According to Main Street’s website, the organization’s purpose is to “enhance the economic prosperity and cultural viability of our community, re-establishing downtown Lexington as the vibrant economic and cultural nexus of our area while maintaining its unique character.”

Now, who's being a Nazi?

Wilkinson is also co-owner of House Mountain Yarn Co.

Place your comments about the yarn on yelp.

Someone in her dining party should sue them:

Virginia Consumer Protection Act

...

§ 59.1-200. Prohibited practices.

A. The following fraudulent acts or practices committed by a supplier in connection with a consumer transaction are hereby declared unlawful:

8. Advertising goods or services with intent not to sell them as advertised, or with intent not to sell at the price or upon the terms advertised.

In any action brought under this subdivision, the refusal by any person, or any employee, agent, or servant thereof, to sell any goods or services advertised or offered for sale at the price or upon the terms advertised or offered, shall be prima facie evidence of a violation of this subdivision.
