Full title: Sarah Sanders response to being kicked out of restaurant: Owner's actions 'say far more about her than about me'

Short video at link.

White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders on Saturday responded to being kicked out of a Virginia restaurant after a server's post about the incident went viral.

Sanders confirmed the incident in a tweet, and said that she always treats those she disagrees with “respectfully.”

“Last night I was told by the owner of Red Hen in Lexington, VA to leave because I work for [President Trump] and I politely left,” Sanders tweeted. “Her actions say far more about her than about me. I always do my best to treat people, including those I disagree with, respectfully and will continue to do so.”

Jaike Foley-Schultz, a waiter at the restaurant, posted on Facebook that he served Sanders and her family “for a total of 2 minutes” before the owner asked the press secretary’s party to leave.

Trump critics and supporters alike took to the restaurant’s Facebook and Yelp pages to leave one- or five-star reviews responding to the incident. “If you are a whining liberal feel free to eat here, if you are a TRUE AMERICAN stay away,” one Facebook user wrote.

On the opposite end of the spectrum, a five-star Yelp review read: “The best. I've heard that they serve crow to those deserving of it.”

Sanders is the third Trump administration official to be recently targeted at a restaurant, in addition to Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen and White House senior adviser Stephen Miller.

Lexington City has become extremely Liberal. The surrounding counties are very Conservative.

Rockbridge County went to Trump by 61.9% of the vote. Lexington City went to Hillary 61.4%. (They are separate jurisdictions.)

Lexington went to Northam (the rat) by 66% of the vote, while Rockbridge went to Gillespie with 61.5% of the vote.

“Red Hen’s owner, Stephanie Wilkinson “

Co-owner. The other co-owner also owns Pure Eats in Lexington.

In fact, Lexington was the most liberal jurisdiction West of Charlottesville in both the 2016 and 2017 elections.

I think he left. On his Facebook page, he lists himself as a “FORMER” co-owner of the Red Hen.

Who is the other owner?

I didn’t see an owner’s name mentioned anywhere in the link you provided.

I’m kind of surprised the administration lets high-profile members roam free. You’d think they’d have some protocol for security. Hard to believe she just showed up somewhere like this without notifying the business owners. Makes you wonder if she was set up.

Exactly (I have to keep saying that, because you keep hitting the nail on the head). And the guy who was fired for expressing disagreement with sodomite mirage. And the fireman in Georgia, decorated, IIRC, who was fired for expressing Christian beliefs on marriage in a book he wrote and published on his own time. So many instances. That’s the way they want it, for us to be overwhelmed until we believe we can’t speak. That’s why they hate Christian churches (at least, conservative, usually white ones), because they haven’t yet found an avenue to shut Christian preachers up from expressing Christian principles on marriage or anything else, in them. And that could be powerful, if a well-spoken preacher started getting attention.

I don’t think he is affiliated with the Red Hen any longer. On his Facebook page, he lists himself as a “former” co-owner of the Red Hen.

Can’t say they didn’t deserve it with their behavior.

Remember when holier than thou chef Mario Batali didn’t want to serve Republicans?

Well, Karma’s a bish. That fat putz has been drummed out of the business due to sexual battery charges... and his stupid show, The Chew, has been cancelled.

“I guess it’s not called Red Hen for nothing.”

Someone on the facebook page renamed it... The Dead Hen.

After this incident, and Secretary Nielsen being harassed in a DC Mexican restaurant, I wonder if it is safe for any identifiable Administration appointee to eat out in restaurants that have not been security cleared including the food preparation.

I heard someone say how tone deaf she was, because she ate at a Mexican restaurant.

This particular liberal commentator, I forget who, was outraged that with issues with the Mexican border, that she had the audacity(to liberals) to eat Mexican food.

Chef Matt Adams once wrote:

“Finding the Red Hen and meeting the team who built it, I feel like I have met like-minded people who understand the real meaning of southern hospitality. I am excited to be here in Lexington, in my home state of Virginia, to continue learning and producing high-quality cuisine.”

Political beliefs is not a protected class.

Which is why Hillary Clinton, Bill Clinton, Lois Lerner, Comey, McCabe, and all the rest, have been prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law, while John Tower and Trent Lott were hounded out of office, right?
