But earlier this month, the two of them set out from Guatemala anyway. The truth, he said this week, moments after they arrived at a cream-colored migrant shelter in Tucson, was that he would rather be apart from his child than face what they had left behind. “If they separate us, they separate us,” said Mr. Cruz, 41. {snip}

Facing unemployment at home in Guatemala, he decided to head north; he had been told that bringing his 16-year-old daughter would assure passage....“She was my passport,” he said of his daughter.

If the world sees that using a child as a passport works you will get many more. Very few of these people qualify for refugees status. The only thing that will turn the flow off is quick deportation of some of these families. When they get back home the word will spread that using children doesn’t work. Then this behavior will at least slow. Of course liberals will cover, if not stage, the departure of screaming families at airports to try to sabotage any effort at enforcing the law.

Somehow the world needs to understand that the main reason, not the only one, but primary reason for illegally entering and claiming asylum is to get on a very lucrative benefit program - mucho dinero!! - and it’s free, so everyone can sit around, play dominoes, drink rum and make babies - what a life!!!

The only ones who should be allowed in are those who have a legally committed American sponsor, who agrees to be responsible for their health, education, and welfare until the immigrants earn...EARN...citizenship. The sponsors should know their whereabouts at all times.
Immigrants should not be allowed to work until they become citizens, or, possess a skill, or trade, that no American can fill.
America FIRST...the rest are just invaders.
