Close your eyes and imagine holding someone’s scalp in your hands. I don’t mean cradling his skull as you thousand-yard-stare at his lifeless face. I mean a real scalp, Indian-style, of some enemy you just killed on the battlefield; somebody you hated and who hated you back.
You killed him, won the day, carved off the top of his skull, and now you’re standing over him victorious on the now-quiet field of battle, with a quiet breeze blowing through your hair. Your adrenaline is still pumping with that primal feeling of victory and the elation of having survived when others didn’t.
I’m not naive enough to think that less than 5 percent of those reading this are the only ones not cringing at that mental image. Amid our wealth and privilege, most Americans cannot even relate to that kind of violence, and they sure don’t want to fantasize about it. That whole thing feels barbaric, violent, and repugnant. Maybe you even wish now you hadn’t read it.
But maybe, for just a moment, would you consider it? No, not a real scalping, but a metaphorical one. We’ll come back to this in a minute.

It is critical to acknowlege that the country is going the wrong way fast but advocating surrender is stupid.
Imagine a secure border, expulsion of immigrants who have no right to be in the country, and future immigration limited to great people from civilized countries.
Reverse those things and reseurrect the country.
The people that choose not to vote, even in presidential elections, has outnumbered any single political party for 100+ years. The folks who care about politics and our culture enough to vote about it one way or the other usually drastically over estimate the number of folks who care like they themselves do. The point being there is a huge swath in this country that will probably just sit out whatever happens as long as the smart phone works and the poorest are the most likely to be obese.

We can’t. But their side has the bureaucracy, the fed, the police complex, the media, and the taxes. They are cutthroat. We are not.
Totalitarian rule must be in America’s future, or total breakdown which will NOT see any resurrection of the Republic or anything like it. America is too rich. It can and does support a huge population of idlers who live off the producers, idlers wealthy and idlers nominally “poor.” They vote for more of the producers’ wealth to be taken away and for more ropes and chains to be laid on everyone. The rich and oh so bright idlers have all the time to dream up totalitarian schemes and the resources to force them onto the rest of us. Donald Trump is getting us a hiatus in the Progress as Reagan did. Trump’s hiatus will be deeper but shorter lived. Reagan got us a quarter century. Trump may get us a decade. If we had got rid of the 16th, 17th, and 19th Amendments fifty years ago it may not have been this way. It would have taken a couple of generations longer.
There are so many issues which have already been lost. Yes, as you say, the fight must be joined, but the left is the genie out of the bottle. I do not see how it can be put back in. And the genie is a jinn taking no prisoners. I am somewhat fatalistic about the future generations
