Rep. Martha McSally (R-Ariz.) surged into first place with a commanding 14-point lead in Arizona’s closely watched GOP Senate primary, according to a new poll.
A poll conducted by Phoenix-based OH Predictive Insights (OHPI) has McSally ahead with a little over 39 percent of the vote, followed by former state Sen. Kelli Ward at 24.5 percent and former Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio trailing far behind at nearly 14 percent. About 22 percent of voters remain undecided.
This is a big shift since OHPI’s last poll from April, which had Ward in first place and leading McSally by 9 points in the race to replace retiring GOP Sen. Jeff Flake. Arizona will hold its primary on Aug. 28.

Joe needs to drop out and endorse Ward.
Joe Arpaio is in third - he’s not going to win. He would lose to a Democrat. He’s splitting the conservative vote so we get stuck with another RINO from Arizona. Trump, however, did not endorse Kelly Ward back when she was the only candidate. If he had done this, it would have been over.
Arpaio shoild drop out and announce he’s supporting Kelly Ward. I think she might get enough for victory from the 22% undecided if Arpaio was not in the race. Who can convince him? Is he on his own? Or is some McConnelite actually spurring Arpaio on because they know it’s splitting the vote to make room for McSally??

Boy, have you been hoodwinked by the GOPe. McSally is running as a conservative, but will immediately turn hard towards the Swamp the minute she wins. That is IF she wins. I think she will lose in November, because the base will not fully support her lying, chain-of-command jumping, McConnell-lite ass.
Yeah, I think people have gotten a little scared off by Roy Moore, but Kelly Ward is no Roy Moore. She’s a good candidate. She’s not controversial in any way. She’s just someone who will support the President. McSally is trying to seem conservative now to get elected. Once she gets in, it could be Flake 2.0. We won’t have to worry with Ward.
I was one of their frequently called participants. Supported Ward, but I got tired of phone calls at dinner time and put them on the RoboKiller list. Polls are useless today.
I agree. I like Arpaio but in this he is wrong to be in this race. He definitely should drop out and endorse Keli Ward. C’mon Joe! Do the right thing!

I wish Trump had given the pardon to Manafort, whose life could be in danger in solitary confinement. I favored the pardon for Joe too, but I would NEVER vote for him in a primary.
You are exactly right. McSally is pulling a McCain, conservative sounding during the election, then liberal/spoiler once elected. She is also like McCain in his playing the hero (BS) status and her playing the fighter pilot status. Get real tired of hearing that out of her mouth. Good accomplishment, yes, but a reason to vote for her, no.
Arpaio has no business running. He won’t win. He’s in his 80s. Time to step aside and do the right thing so that a fellow conservative, Kelli Ward, has a chance.
They would support her. They grudgingly supported Moore until the accusations came out, and he had controversy prior. She had no controversy. She’s a military wife, mom, doctor, and state senator.
Trump should have endorsed Ward right away. She was nothing but loyal to him, but he listened to the GOPe and didn’t. Now Trump will stuck with another Flake likely. SMH.

They supported Strange, and were sabotaging Moore even during the primary. I've seen the same dynamic in Virginia. Elect the "wrong" candidate in the Primary, and the GOPe will attack him more vigorously than they attack the democRAT.
