More than 600 members of the United Methodist Church signed on to a letter Monday condemning Attorney General Jeff Sessions for the Trump administration's policy of separating migrant parents and children at the U.S. border.
In the letter, the group of churchgoers, including clergy and church leadership, accuse Sessions of child abuse, immorality, racial discrimination and dissemination of doctrines contrary to the standards of the doctrine of the United Methodist Church.
They note in the letter that Sessions is a member of Ashland Place United Methodist Church, in Mobile, Ala.

The Democrats are loving this. They start complaining about something they actually did, and soft hearted (headed) evangelicals want to be seen as loving before anything else.
The angels do not sit around the throne going “love, love, love”. That was the Beatles. The angels say “Holy, Holy, Holy”. Righteousness first.
If each one of these “Methodist” hypocrites took in an entire “immigrant family” that would really help out the U.S. taxpayers quite a bit.
Why says they are the parents?
They could have little or no relationship with the kids they are with beyond trying to sneak in.
They can go if they want anytime.
More and more churches are becoming corrupt, which is a reason I have not joined one yet, even though I was Saved in January. So I tithe to the Salvation Army currently.
An excellent response to this would be for Sessions to send back to each one of them a copy of Jefferson’s Danbury Baptist “wall of separation” letter.
Attack, attack, attack!.
Drive the marxists from the field back under the rocks they climbed out from under!.
The illegal alien parents own 100 % of the blame.
Thousands of those kids were/are not with their parents, but are a tool for other adults to get in.
But what of their parents? Let them go with whoever so theyd get into the USA? Paid for doing so? Dead?
I left off my sarcasm tag, of course. My point is that on FR it is usually only the Catholic Church that gets beat up about this when dozens of other denominations are at fault as well.
Not a good sign that Sessions belongs to this church.
Very true. My family left an apostate denomination long ago. What I learned after I woke was disturbing: Sodomy-enabling, baby murder-allowing (by their own health insurance), Bible-neutering leftists.
Practically speaking we don't know who these people are.
How could we?
However the parent-child narrative is a convenient one to demonize anyone against catch and release or amnesty.
It was only a few months ago that Dems were arguing that Dreamers are victims of those who brought them here(and of Trump)
Its the UMC. Why else would one expect?
600 members are either ignorant and uninformed or they are evil. Which is it folks?
I could even recommend a few he might want to check out.
Im surprised there even is a UMC remaining in the US that worships God rather than the god of social justice!
So many “conservatives” stay within United Methodism out of family heritage.
With their “compassion”, the American people lack the ability to discern how these illegal aliens are manipulating the American people.
There seems to be a connection between AL and “weak links” as so many believed the charges against Judge Roy Moore without due process.
Try Independent Baptist!
Well you can add the SBC to that list now too.
With a heretic like Russell Moore heading their ERLC it’s no wonder they’ve fallen so far from the tree of truth.
Instead of letters, they should allow these MS-13 miscreants to move in with them.
