"Trey Gowdy: With All This Bias At The FBI, I Dont Know How Mueller Successfully Prosecutes Anyone"
The key bit from a long interview on Fox News Sunday. Watch for about two and a half minutes where the clip picks up below. On Friday, marveling at Gowdys anger over the IG report, I flagged the following quote about Peter Strzok from his interview with Bret Baier the night before. No one within the GOP has been as stalwart a defender of the Russiagate probe as Gowdy has. The despair was palpable:

The yapping chihuahua!
I liked when he pointed out that Comey would be a disaster as a witness for the procecution.
Also anyone who pleads guilty to lying offense is worthless as a witness.
Pols sure are good at flip-flops
No one cares, Trey.
So has he changed his mind about the FBI spy in the Trump campaign?
Gowdy is on a toothless rampage today!
Gowdy Threatens FBI, DOJ with Full Arsenal of Constitutional Weapons
I really used to like Gowdy but over time I realized he never actually does anything. He just talks about things. And then he shuts up until the next time.
Time for these big talking Congressman to step up and announced they will stop any process of impeaching trump if he fires Mueller.
I began this thread last night: VANITY: The Inspector General Report was very important...Here's why... where I listed eight key points the IG report was significant, and two points in particular destroy Comey:
POINT #2: COMEY USED PERSONAL EMAIL ACCOUNTS FOR OFFICIAL FBI BUSINESS. Comey admitted he used a personal email account for official business. And he is running the probe into someone accused of using a personal email account for...official business. This destroys Comey utterly, and he had to know it. It also means any idiotic (and we all knew it was idiotic from day one, but that never meant it wouldn't happen) "obstruction of justice" charge against Trump for firing Comey is...stillborn. If it ever went to a point where Comey is called to testify in any obstruction of justice proceeding, he would be shredded. He knows it, too. One can imagine this exchange (and one can imagine this as the lead-off question, too):
DEFENSE FOR TRUMP: Mr. Comey, what were you in charge of investigating regarding email during the 2016 Presidential campaign?
COMEY: I was running an investigation into whether then candidate Hillary Clinton had been using a personal email account for official government business on an unauthorized server.
DEFENSE FOR TRUMP: Mr. Comey, have you ever, in violation of the law, used personal email accounts for official FBI business?
DEFENSE FOR TRUMP: These proceedings are closed.
POINT #3: COMEY DID NOT KNOW HUMA ABEDIN WAS MARRIED TO ANTHONY WEINER. Really? Really, really? This might not destroy him legally, but at best, it is going to destroy him intellectually. Could he REALLY be such a cloddish dolt? Could he really, REALLY have been this totally uniformed and ignorant, especially as it relates to to one of the single most explosive, controversial, and historically impactful FBI investigations in American history. This is not an insignificant thing. And to even consider he may not have, at the time of either the FBI probe or during the IG interview with him is stunning.
Good Lord. How on earth did we get here?
The yapping chihuahua!
Although there is a striking physical resemblance between Gowdy and a chihuahua, the chihuahua not only yaps but will actually bite. Despite its diminutive size, the chihuahua is therefore more feared.
substitute capon for chihuahua. better descriptor- denutted rooster
When the whole discussion revolves around Mueller's investigation of Trump, there's a certain degree of public acceptance of it.
But when it is turned into a discussion about Mueller's investigation of potentially innocent victims of a crooked FBI apparatus, the whole dynamic changes.
A most fitting description.
Yes, me too. I would watch the hearings that he was in. Over time, I realized he was just a bloviater.
