In brief, Antony Bourdain wore his “anti-corporate hipness” on his shirtsleeve, always smirking and snarking that “evil corporations” and “crass commercialism” repelled him.
But he gleefully signed on as a shameless tourism agent for the Castro-Family-and-Military Crony-Crime Syndicate, a thieving, murdering criminal-corporate empire that makes the Mafia look like Boy Scouts of America.

Perhaps the explanation is that as to Cuba, Bourdain was bound by CNN's house policy of coziness with Castro, while his comments against Ortega more accurately reflected a genuine hostility toward corrupt dictators. Indeed, CNN may have edited out comments by Bourdain that were hostile to the Castros.

The guy was a walking quandary.
I don’t put politics before entertainment. He just was too snarky for me, too dour, too hipster-esque. I also couldn’t get through his book. Great minds can disagree occasionally, ml!!
And, while Bourdain sometimes slammed “evil corporations” in the food business, he also offered praise for Olive Garden and freely admitted to liking KFC and Popeyes’s.
Ah well we know you don't, but the overwhelming folks in the entertainment industry do put politics ahead trying to disguise it as entertainment.

Bourdain's words, vetted and approved before broadcasting. Now how does one achieve that without murdering whites. The vehemence of the German is rather surprising.

Another KFC story was when we took turns going on the food run, and it was my turn.
My buddy Richie, an anal retentive goofball and general germaphobic wanted KFC.
I obliged.. the gal that was getting the chicken placed each piece in the box with precision, until the moment she dropped one on the floor!

Did that 3 times and picked it up put it back in the bin and picked out another piece of chicken! LOL
I waited till Richie ate it all to tell him the story.

Well, just another reason to dislike this jumped-up Jersey line cook, Cov. It never fails; the haters take themselves out.
Sometimes the attractive thing about the "cool" person is their ironic attitude or put downs. You might not want to be that person's friend for fear that he or she might make you another victim, but it was certainly possible to appreciate the humor and find it refreshing from a distance.
One of the things that made Bourdain interesting was he didn't wholly correspond to the stereotypes. He was bit of a snob, but not entirely. Maybe time spent washing dishes made it harder for him to fit into the yuppie stereotype.
