The report says, Comey, Baker, and other FBI witnesses told us that they believed the prosecutors were overly cautious about obtaining the laptops because they were intimidated by high-powered defense counsel like [Beth] Wilkinson.
The report also describes other FBI witnesses who made the same claim including agents Peter Strzok and Lisa Page, whose text messages in the report revealed their political bias against Donald Trump becoming president.
Some FBI witnesses told us, consistent with text message exchanges between [Peter] Strzok and [Lisa] Page, that the FBI was concerned that the line [Network Security Division] prosecutors were intimidated by the high-powered attorneys representing Clinton and her senior aides and, as a result, did not negotiate aggressively with them, the report states.
It continues, Strzok told us that Prosecutor 1, who handled most of the negotiations with counsel, is extraordinarily competent, but he believed more senior government officials should have been involved with deciding how hard [to] push counsel.'

When it comes to Comey, this whole sickening circus is nothing but a platform for his rhetoric. Jimbo said so hence it must be true? What do the attorney's themselves say? Are they admitting they are spineless hacks?
Is there a previous case, ever, where the FBI felt too intimidated to do its job?

My guess would be the assassination of JF Kennedy.
I think they were with her from the start, but got a gentle reminder from the Clinton crime family.
“Hey guys, remember Vince Foster?”
“intimidated”. Hmm, is that what the FBI calls a bribe now?
Obama said in an interview on Fox news with Brett Baker that he cannot comment on ongoing investigations but then said Hillary would never intentionally endanger US security.
That’s obstruction of justice.
Coney admitted hearing that and said what do I do now?
What makes these lawyers "high powered" is not their depth of legal knowledge, but their network of contacts and people they can ask favors of. What makes them intimidating to the FBI agent, is the knowledge that the lawyer may have leverage over the agent's future.
Seth Rich.
Intimidated? Baloney.
They probably had dinner and drinks afterwards.
Brandish guns and headlines about people died who knew the Clintons?
Comeystain is a liar and a leaker and full of Bullstalin when talking to investigators and Congress.
Oh really. Too bad for the ompoor saps who went to prison for not filling out a form at the hands of these FBI cowards.
That’s “poor saps”.
You didnt need the sarc tag for that post
You don’t know there was no criminal referral. The IG is sending referrals to US Attorney Huber and probably grand jury(s) are already at work.
Shoot, that’s all Trump needs to do to beat Mueller, just hire a high-powered defense counsel like [Beth] Wilkinson. Mueller will fold like a cheap shirt or FBI agent.......
NBC is Comcast. And no doubt the nefarious web of anti-American criminals live there.
I think this report has changed my view of the leftist deep state: I used to think of it as a strategic coup - now I’m convinced it’s more of a mindset - a desease of flawed thinking, exactly like the way the left dominates MSM, Hollywood and Academia. The people echoing the leftist message aren’t clever strategists - they are zombies in an echo chamber.
They haven’t won by moving chess pieces, or Saul Alinsky tactics - they’ve won by self delusion - they really believe they are the good guys and conservatism is evil and selfish.
Listening to the coverage of the IG report it’s clear they feel completely justified in pushing their leftist cause by whatever means. They really think they are innocent by virtue of their resistance against the evil of Republican opposition.
For the good of humanity, Hillary Clinton should have won, they believe - a lot of them actually WEPT when she lost. That is profound folks. That is a cult of immense proportions.
This is a problem of public perception more than a problem of failing to prosecute criminal behavior by the Obama administration. Yes, abuse of power crimes WERE committed - but we are the only ones that can see it that way. No Democrat is ever going to see what they did as a crime, so any attempt at prosecution will be purely Republican vs Democrat - and therefore it won’t look objective like justice is supposed to look - it will look like political retribution. It won’t fly with the American people.
We have to publicly discredit the left in order to break their self deluded sense of “moral high ground”. It’s completely undeserved, but it’s a perception that they have managed to infuse into in the MSM, Hollywood, college campasses and apparently also the deep state of law enforcement agencies in our own government.
I think Trump is leading the way in this culture change. He’s good at setting up leftist celebrities to get them to make fools of themselves. Eventually, this will hurt their brand. They are not that bright.
For now, people generally think Democrats are the good guys. They want peace, we want war. They want to share, we are selfish pricks. They want to end poverty and suffering, we don’t care about anyone but ourselves.
It’s all a lie but they’ve managed to sell that lie to a lot of sheeple.
Those Clinton lawyers were so impressive that Mueller hired them all for his independent look at Trump.
They claim members of the FBI were extremely scared of Clintons lawyers and that is why they did nothing? The same people who said they were going to Screw Trump over?
