My family physician is a recreational shooter and Christian. I will stay with him until he retires or I expire. I can guarantee the AMA is not representing his view on gun ownership.

On average, there are 93 gun deaths per day in America. There are also about 6,800 violent crimes PREVENTED by the use / presence of a gun.

I am not willing to trade an additional 6,800 citizen’s lives destroyed by rapes, assaults, car jacking, and home invasions to stop 93 deaths - 2/3rds of which are suicides.

The American Medical Association has formally — and overwhelmingly — endorsed a slate of gun control measures, calling gun violence a public health crisis.

The latest edition of the Journal of the American Medical Association has a whole article saying that Trump's environmental agenda will cause 80000 deaths per decade. It is disgusting that 8 years of obummer has brainwashed medicine.

“It’s astounding how and what makes grown men do anything they are told to do by the wrong side.”

It ain’t just men, sweetie.

Among other atrocities, American women get led around by the nose by feminism, arguably the most destructive force plaguing America today.

Note that American women have killed almost 60 million of their own children since 1973. Can’t get much more absurd than that!

The list is long, but murder of the most innocent tops it.

We need doctor control--protect us from high rates, protect us from their bias, protect us from their incompetence--doctors have no business asking us about guns UNLESS we have a clear and demonstratable inclinatoin to commit suicide or such. Then, yes, they should treat the risk or report the threat. But otherwise, without that condition, our guns are absolutely NONE of their business.

I have never yet had a doctor ask. Like talking to my boys about teachers and others asking about them, waiting for the first time it occurs.

My optomotrist took it perfectly fine when I asked her to prescribe shooting glasses and asked and then brought in my range competition pistol so she could measure and prescribe a shooting pair of glasses. No problem at all.

Unfortunately NO.

We can’t even do anything about their DEATH DRUGS...BLACK BOXED DRUGS. FDA won’t remove them from the market. They create more sick people for them to peddle their Snake oil too. All those lawsuits aren’t fake. I have a Ruined GI tract to prove all those OA drugs they Black Boxed ruin GI Tracts which they have no cures for or even a treatment of symptoms. Just a LOUSY DIET that leads to Type 2 Diabetes. Another disease to be treated never cured. And those drugs are harmful too. I see what my eldest goes through as he is a Type 2, now on his second drug as the first stopped working, and they are destroying his Kidneys. Idiot doc wants him on Insulin, which will Destroy his Kidneys.

But they will give you scripts for 5 gallon buckets of opiates all along denying responsibility for the “opioid crisis”.

It must be hell being in such close competition with the Mexican drug cartels.

Estimates vary, but about 40-60,000 Americans die each year from influenza. ( now treatable to some degree)

The once great ama could make a significant difference if it focused its resources on infectious, communicable disease.

Also, even liberal physicians are supposed to know how to identify bad ( and politically corrupted) public health statistics, and false causes for given effects.

Didn’t I read somewhere that “botched” medical procedures kill more people than guns, every year?

You have that right.

A study (2017) published in the British Medical Journal (BMJ) has found that medical malpractice or error accounts for approximately 250,000 deaths annually in the United States – ranking as the third leading cause of death, right behind cancer and heart disease.

Researchers from Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine calculated that medical errors cause nearly 700 deaths per day; 9.5% of all deaths in the United States on a yearly basis. Incompetent doctors, complications from surgery, miscommunication, misdiagnosis, and general poor judgement can all be factors that result in medical errors, but unfortunately, there is not accurate data that specifically pinpoints an over-arching cause, and the actual amount of deaths due to medical negligence could be higher.

There are hundreds of thousands of deaths due to doctor error or hospital mistakes per year so they choose to go after guns. Amazing!

Trying to deflect from the fact that medical errors kill over 400,000 Americans annually. But no worries or outrage over that.

Medical errors are the third leading cause of death in the U.S., after heart disease and cancer, causing at least 250,000 deaths every year, according to an analysis out Tuesday indicating that patient safety efforts fall far short.

And those morons want to go after our God given right to bear arms? Problem is 1. that doctors think they know everything, 2. A lot of them are big time liberals having been exposed to the academic environment most of their lives, 3. they want to distract from their own failings

I know about the female side..... the male species are supposed to be the ones who have the math brain and are supposed to think things through and use it all wisely. I have 4 sons... and one daughter.. the sons, by far, are easier to raise... and I hope they have that math brain sense.. the daughter ran on emotion and moods...

Medical mistakes cause over 250,000 deaths a year due to wrong diagnoses, wrong medicines, poor or unnecessary care, etc.
