Bullhockey!!!! In 1950 75% of doctors belonged to AMA. Today LESS THAN 25% of doctors belong to AMA. Many have disagreed with the AMA’s left wing swing and left the AMA. My doctor belongs to NRA.

American Medical Association endorses gun control

Time for the NRA to endorse "free market" healthcare with open insurance competition nation wide.

The AMA is not much more than just a lobby group that only cares about what makes them money.

https://www.statnews.com/2016/12/22/american-medical-association-divisions/

Wealth has guaranteed the AMA influence in the corridors of power, nationally and in the states. The association has spent $347 million lobbying since 1998 — more than any other company or group except the US Chamber of Commerce and the National Association of Realtors, according to the Center for Responsive Politics.

Still, scholars agree that the association’s clout has declined over the last 30 years as specialty societies rose in prominence, health care costs soared, managed care became more prevalent, and physicians’ allegiance to the organization diminished.

Such policies are why “ it (the AMA) counts fewer than 25 percent of practicing physicians as members.”

I, and the majority of my colleagues, repudiate and reject the AMA and its liberal policies by refusing to be members. 75% of physicians are NOT members.

My dues go to the NRA! It would be interesting to know what percentage of medical professions are NRA members.

The AMA speaks for a diminishing minority. Public posturing like this will only further diminish their credibility. The AMA is just one more vestige of the “Deep State.”
