Who knew avocados were so dangerous?
On Tuesday’s episode of “The View,” co-host Joy Behar revealed she had to miss work Monday because she’d sliced open her hand cutting an avocado.
“Saturday night, on my way to the event at the retreat, I stabbed myself in the hand with a knife,” she explained. “I was trying to desperately eat something, so I was trying to open an avocado. So I stuck the knife into the pit to get it out … and I stabbed myself!”
At the hospital, where the 75-year-old stayed overnight and was administered an antibacterial drip to ward off infection, Behar was told that this sort of accident happens all the time.

Stabs herself with a knife, spends night in Hospital? I think there is more to this story. Is she being abused by her hubby(like the libs say about Melania) and is she hiding something by having to stay over night(like Melania)? Trump was out of the country, maybe he has a hand in this! LoL!!!!
Oh it gets better, you can peel the skin off really easy after you cut it into 1/4's. it avoids scooping out the flesh of the avocado and scraping against the skin. Try it !
Superglue has become my go to fix for all kitchen knife accidents.

Don’t know about the avocado, but I’ll bet the vodka was Russian.
There are now tools that even have a part that will cut open the avocado, now, so that there's no need for a knife at all. But since mine is still as good as it was when I bought it.
Yes its Avacado hand season ERs get real busy around the super bowl and cinco de mayo and warm weather
