There's something really screwy about this story; maybe there's more to it/she just lying about why she didn't show up someplace!
She’s lying. Plus, you don’t get cut, rush to the emergency room and get hooked up to a drip. You go to the emergency room, get treated and are sent off with a script for antibiotics in case of infection. She probably waited until her hand got infected and then went. But overnight? Maybe the nurses were fans of The View.
