Larry Kudlow, President Trumps top economic adviser, suffered a heart attack on Monday evening and was at Walter Reed Medical Center, Mr. Trump said in a tweet.
Mr. Kudlow, 70, who has referred to himself as a happy warrior in counseling Mr. Trump on trade and economic policy, joined Mr. Trumps team in March as the director of the National Economic Council.
Our Great Larry Kudlow, who has been working so hard on trade and the economy, has just suffered a heart attack. He is now in Walter Reed Medical Center, Mr. Trump tweeted, just before a meeting in Singapore with North Koreas leader, Kim Jong-un.
The White House issued a statement late Monday evening saying that Mr. Kudlow had a very mild heart attack.
Larry is currently in good condition at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center and his doctors expect he will make a full and speedy recovery, Sarah Huckabee Sanders, the White House press secretary, said in the statement.
A person familiar with the situation said that Mr. Kudlow had a stent inserted on Monday.

“Mild Heart Attack” = someone else’s heart attack...
Take a six month break, Larry. It cannot be easy working in that pressure cooker. There is no sin in taking a break from this high drama.

I had one of those a few years ago.
Owie Friday mid-day. Hospital Friday night, stent implant Saturday AM, back on my flight to Richmond VA from Los Angeles on Monday.
But I can 100% guarantee it hurt like hell (even that one teeny tiny vein).
Ask a loved one or a close buddy to hit you in the chest with a sledge hammer. That approximates how it feels. It starts with pressure and moves in about a 1/2 hour to the sledgehammer level.
Kudlow is a straight shooter and I hope his prognosis was as good as mine. I am still alive (at least I think so) so we can hope his prognosis is as good.
Fortunately it wasn't Yuge.
Ouch, and on a plane within days. God bless you!!
A man’s gotta do what a man’s gotta do.
Thank you for your kind words.
Get well, Larry! We need you!
May the Lord keep you in good health.
Thank you my FRiend.
You and yours as well.
The Lord looks after us all. I don’t deserve it but I honestly think he keeps my around to keep and protect my wife who is better than me and makes me want to be a better person.
Sometimes God smacks me upside the head with realization.
This is one of those moments.
:)
Thanks for sharing this. My brother died instantly of a heart attack at a young age. Glad it turned out so well for you!!! Yes wishing Kudlow well. He was all over the tv screen the last few days. Needs some down time.

I have been so blessed that all my siblings (including an addition) are still with us. I know I will be devastated when any of them pass to the bye and bye. My mom and dad passed in their 50s/60s. And my brothers and sisters are not the biggest health nuts.
Perhaps God wants us to stay and communicate. I always liken our lives as as beautiful but small gnats on a tapestry. We cannot see the tapestry but we see the colors.
God sees the tapestry and I must just have faith He is weaving a complex and lovely milieu that I will see when the time is right.
In my heart I am sure your brother is part of your tapestry and added such depth and color to make us mortals blush and gasp.
Beautiful. Thank you for your post to me :D.
Not easy working for the Prez, He said he had been up 25 hours during the presser. Probably be up at meetings 6 more hours before he rests on AF1.
I had thought for a month now he didn’t look good. Very pale and tired-looking. Prayers up for the return of good health, poor man.
Ditto that MM, big fan of Dr K for years, and I was a bit disappointed when he was on the global paradigm rant, which he is now off of. Perhaps the entire Team Trump needs literally concierge healthy food, maybe a gym on campus in the bldg tangent the WH where they all are located, and maybe the boss needs to tone it down a bit so they can get some sleep.
Kinda seems a little harsh to call it a heart “attack” then. Heart jostle? Heart shove? Heart smack?
It was a warning, a thank God moment. My husband had his first warning at age 42, followed by triple bypass, he had his second heart attack at 45 which created damage. Twenty years later, the earlier damage was now destroying his heart. He received a heart transplant eight years ago, doing great. For anyone out there, if you suspect you have a heart problem, see a doctor immediately, not just to save your life but to avoid life changing heart damage. Damage is the killer.
Best wishes to Mr. Kudliw for a quick and complete recovery.
Kudlow.
